On the other side of the bracket, Schoolcraft topped a talented Flint Beecher team 55-39. In the title game, Schoolcraft came out on top against Menominee team in a well played 59-49 game. I’m going to give you a Most Outstanding Player and some Honorable Mentions from the Division 3 Final 4.

HONORABLE MENTIONS
Aidan Bellisle (2022, CG, Menominee)
Bellisle was a terrific floor general for the title game Menominee team. In the Final 4 he averaged 13 points per game, 7 assists per game and 2.5 steals per game. He definitely made his mark in the playoffs.
Tyler Degroote Tyler Degroote 6'7" | SG Schoolcraft | 2022 State MI (2022, G/F, Schoolcraft)
DeGroote had an MOP type of Final 4. He had 13 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists in the semis. He followed that up with 7 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal in the title game. His toughness was key in both games as well.
Carmelo Harris Carmelo Harris 6'0" | CG Flint Beecher | 2022 State MI (2022, CG, Flint Beecher)
Harris finished a terrific senior season in the semifinals. Against a staunch Schoolcraft defense, he scored 15 points and picked up 2 blocks and 2 steals on the defensive end.
Kenneth Morrast Jr. (2023, PG, Ecorse)
Morrast Jr. is probably one of the most improved players in the state. He starred on both ends of the floor, scoring 20 points and finishing with 5 steals in the semis.
Shane Rykse Shane Rykse 6'0" | CG Schoolcraft | 2024 State MI (2024, SG, Schoolcraft)
Rykse was a firecracker in both games, leading Schoolcraft in scoring in the final 2 games. He scored 21 points in the round of 4 and 15 in the championship. Rykse showed the state that he’s a top notch scoring wing.
Brady Schultz (2022, SF, Menominee)
Schultz was lights out in the Final 4, and in the playoffs as a whole. He averaged 22.5 points, 7 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, 2.5 assists and 1 steal in the last 2 games.
MOST OUTSTANDING PLAYER
Ty Rykse Ty Rykse 6'4" | SF Schoolcraft | 2022 State MI (2022, SF, Schoolcraft)
Rykse was so solid and steady at the Final 4. The highly ranked senior had double-doubles in both the semifinals and the championship game. In the round of 4 he finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and a steal. In the title game, Rykse ended with 12 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and a steal. His veteran leadership and court presence was extremely valuable in Schoolcraft’s run to a state championship.
