Here are the Players we feel can raise their game and their ranking number.

10 [player_tooltip player_id="1199070" first="Elijah" last="Moore"]. 6”2. Cardinal Hayes (Pictured)

A very quick release and elevates on his jumper. He is an outstanding shooter from three. Hard to knock off the ball. Has great control of his body. Creates contact and will separate and finish at the rim.

22 [player_tooltip player_id="1395988" first="Charles" last="O’Sullivan"] 6”3. Fordham Prep

Coach Downey and I spoke and he was looking forward to seeing Charles play this year. The young sharpshooter did not disappoint. He showed that he could not only be a lights out shooter from three. But he also did a nice job on the boards and was a player who could also handle the ball. Can start and finish the break. Another “A” city championship and Charles had a significant role in it.

30. [player_tooltip player_id="1395989" first="Malik" last="Smart"]. 5”10 St Francis Prep

Saw Malik at an open gym before the season. He displayed really good three point range. I was also impressed in scrimmages and drills how he guarded the ball. Should develop nicely next season with added playing time due to the graduation of three starting seniors.

34. R J Jones. 5”10. Iona Prep

Extremely quick downhill guard. Has a good frame. Strong handle always looking to make a play. Averaged 5 ppg for the Gaels. Due to some transfers RJ was thrust into a significant role and showed a lot of promise.

47. [player_tooltip player_id="1203971" first="Daye" last="Kaba"]. 6”4. Bishop Loughlin

Averaged 7 ppg for the Lions this past season. A young team we expect a lot of good things to come for this young team and this player. Showed the ability to get into the lane and score at the rim. But is also deep threat. A lot of upside with this player.

62. [player_tooltip player_id="1360124" first="Carlos" last="Urena"]. 5”10 Mcclancy

Carlos was given a lot of responsibility for this young team. He was given the keys to the car to run the team. In arguably by one of the toughest leagues in the country Carlos rose to the occasion. He was able to juggle running the team and still being able to put up good scoring games. He is a small quick slasher to the basket. Crafty getting inside. He showed the willingness to get into the lane and set up teammates.

64 [player_tooltip player_id="1360127" first="Tristan" last="Rogers"]. 5”10. Nazareth

Nazareth might have surprised some hoop fans in the A division of the CHSAA but they are no longer a surprise. A young loaded team with alot of versatile parts. Tristan was a major piece running the show. He has an excellent skill set and a high basketball IQ. Going into the season coach Irvin told me the only thing he was lacking was experience. Well he learned quickly and impressively. He was able to get into the lane create for others or himself. Very quick downhill player who changes speed very well.

90. [player_tooltip player_id="1395983" first="Shane" last="Gatling"]. 5”11 Baldwin

Shane played on the JV this past season. The Baldwin varsity was loaded with talent in winning the Long Island championship. Shane led the JV and showed flashes of brilliance. Should be another top tier player from this perennial title contender from Baldwin.

93. [player_tooltip player_id="1361692" first="Jordan" last="Heyman"]. 6”1 Half Hollow Hills East

Jordan played behind some talented players this past season for the Suffolk county champions, Next season the coaching staff is excited about Jordan’s potential. He averaged 4 ppg and that number should rise. He showed the ability to shoot the three. Practicing every day against some really good Long Island talent should help this young man elevate his rank and game.

94. Ryan Connolly. 5”10 Floral Park

Excellent ball handler. Handles pressure. Lights out three point shooter with unlimited range. Played behind some talented older players, next season we expect him to show off his talents.

96. [player_tooltip player_id="1360157" first="Raleek last="Murray"]. 6”0. Central Islip

Has a smooth handle. Can weave through defenses and get to rim. Can drain threes from the wing. Out in transition he can finish on the break through contact. When he lets the game come to him he is hard to stop.
