With that being said, there is plenty of unsigned talent left in the class of 2022 and several players that could be outstanding pickups this late in the game. So, who are these players and what level schools should be recruiting them? Let’s take a look at some of the best unsigned players in the class of 2022.
Liberty Heights Guard Elijah Jamison Elijah Jamison 6'3" | PG Liberty Heights | 2022 State #204 Nation NC : Currently at the #2 ranked spot in the state, Jamison is the top unsigned player overall after reopening his recruitment late last year. Over the years at Louisburg HS and at Liberty Heights, he has proven himself as an impressive player on both ends of the floor and more recently, a player that knows how to win. He has all the tools to be a great leader on the next level and is a player that Mid-Major programs should be calling about.
Northwood Temple Guard Jaquantae Harris Jaquantae Harris 6'1" | PG Northwood Temple | 2022 State NC : Overall he has put together one of the best overall senior campaigns of any player in East NC. His team played a very tough schedule, but he produced consistently, scoring the ball at a high level while also using his athleticism to make plays on both ends of the floor. He’s clearly a division 1 talent but would be an absolute steal for any D2 program that could grab him this late in the game.
Word of God Guard Po’Boigh King Po’Boigh King 6'4" | CG Word of God | 2022 State NC : One of the top overall shooters in the state, he has proven himself over the years as a player that can put the ball in the bucket. This ability alone is one of the reasons why we feel he should be getting some calls from D2 programs as he has put up some big-time shooting/scoring performances against some of the better high school programs on the east coast of America.
New Hanover Forward Mikhail Pocknett Mikhail Pocknett 6'6" | PF New Hanover | 2022 State NC : One of the better Forward prospects on the eastern side of the state, he led one of the better 4A programs in the state in both scoring and rebounding. He has good upper body strength, nice athletic ability and doesn’t back down from any challenge that he may be faced with.
Liberty Heights Forward Ezra Ausar Ezra Ausar 6'8" | SF Liberty Heights | 2022 State NC : Another player that should be getting a nice amount of phone calls from D1 programs, we love what he brings with his interior scoring and rebounding. Standing at 6’8 with a physique that looks like he already has been on a college campus, he could be a player that makes an early impact at certain programs.
