Bryce Lindsay Bryce Lindsay 6'2" | CG St. Frances | 2022 State MD | St. Frances ’22
Lindsay was business as usual raining in his array of long-range three’s throughout the game. He led St. Frances with 17 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field and 4-of-7 from three. The South Carolina commit shoots from NBA range with effortless motion and it demands and his presence demands the defense’s full attention any time his team has possession.
Jahnathan Lamothe Jahnathan Lamothe 6'3" | CG St. Frances | 2023 State #204 Nation MD | St. Frances ’23
It’s good to see Lamothe getting back in his groove. He’s been playing more freely these past three games and seems to be more confident in his shot and decision-making. Lamothe was an impact in multiple categories as indicated by his stat line of 12 points, eight rebounds and four assists. He shot 4-of-6 from the field and 3-of-4 from the charity stripe.
Tyler Jackson Tyler Jackson 6'2" | CG St. Frances | 2025 #40 Nation MD | St. Frances ’25
Jackson was a huge presence for the Panthers off the bench. With the absence of Daquan Davis Daquan Davis 6'1" | PG Overtime Elite (GA) | 2024 #119 Nation GA (injury), it leaves more opportunity for playing time and his play today instilled plenty of confidence. The freshman finished with 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting rom the field and 2-of-3 from beyond the arc. Jackson was also key defensively where he did a great job of keeping the ball-handler in front of him and used active hands to cause deflections.
Cortez Johnson Cortez Johnson 6'7" | PF St. Frances | 2022 State MD | St. Frances ’22
St. Frances needed an active Johnson today and that’s what he was. The UNC-Greensboro commit stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, three blocks and two steals. Johnson’s motor was on display in transition as he was rewarded for his efforts on multiple occasions. He also hit two triples, which forced his defender to respect him on catches on the perimeter.
CJ Scott CJ Scott 6'4" | SF Archbishop Spalding | 2022 State MD | Spalding ’22
It was good seeing Scott come out with an aggressive mindset to start the game, especially considering the lack of overall energy his team had. The unsigned senior finished with a team-high 16 points and hauled in five rebounds in front of Coppin State head coach Juan Dixon, who’s been pursuing Scott heavily as of late.
Malik Washington Malik Washington 6'5" | SF Archbishop Spalding | 2025 MD | Spalding ’25
Effort wise, it was a lack-luster performing from Spalding, but Washington showed plenty of energy and fight. The 6-foot-5 freshman was a consistent finished around the basket and ran the floor hard with purpose. Washington scored 13 points on an efficient 6-of-8 shooting from the field.
Amani Hansberry Amani Hansberry 6'7" | C Mount St. Joseph | 2023 State #52 Nation MD | Mount St. Joe ’23
There’s no other word to describe Hansberry’s performance other than dominant. The 6-foot-6 junior has been on a mission since stepping foot onto campus this fall and he continued his rout with 25 points, 15 rebounds, four steals and three blocks to help the Gaels pull away and win by a final score of 70-63. Hansberry’s scoring versatility was on full display as he scored on the block over both shoulders, hit face-up jumpers from 12-17 feet and was an impact as the roll man following ball screens.
Bryson Tucker Bryson Tucker 6'7" | CG IMG Academy | 2024 #15 Nation FL | Mount St. Joe ’24
It was a slow start for Tucker from a scoring perspective in the first half, but he immediately asserted himself as the third quarter began. 17 of his 22 points came in the final two quarters as he finished 9-of-22 from the field and 2-of-5 from beyond the arc. It was a typical day’s work for Tucker making high-level reads as a ball-handler filling the role of a playmaking point guard who can get to his spots in the mid-range at will.
Jeannot Basima Jeannot Basima 6'3" | CG John Carroll | 2023 State #200 Nation MD | John Carroll ’23
Basima got back to his bread and butter of attacking the rim against Mount St. Joe and did so successfully. The 6-foot-4 junior scored a team-high 21 points on 9-of-18 shooting while also collecting seven rebounds in the effort. Basima got to his right hand with regularity on drives and finished quick sneaky lay-ins as the rotating weakside defender challenged him on his attempts. The Gaels assigned different defenders on him throughout the game, but none were able to stop Basima once he got downhill and a sliver of a driving lane.
Tyson Commander Tyson Commander 6'4" | SG The John Carroll School | 2022 State #203 Nation MD | John Carroll ’22
It was Commander’s last performance in a John Carroll uniform and he showcased his long-range ability once more for the BCL faithful. The 6-foot-4 southpaw finished with 19 points on the night where he shot 7-of-15 from the field and 3-of-7 from deep. When his defender would crowd him on the catch, Commander utilized quick rip-throughs to get an edge and made his way to the rim for finishes.
TJ Vaughn TJ Vaughn 5'10" | PG John Carroll | 2022 State MD | John Carroll ’22
Vaughn had one of his better overall performances of his senior year on Friday night. He scored 13 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field and 3-of-7 from three, which isn’t a stat line that completely jumps out when scanning the box score, but the shots that he hit were high-level and in crucial points of the game. He showed his edge as a competitor on both ends and his ability to knock down three’s or mid-range jumpers after creating space for himself off the bounce.
