PG Elijah Bredwood Elijah Bredwood 6'1" | SG Bearden | 2022 State TN , Bearden
Final Game Stats: 13p, 4a, 3s
Overall State Ranking: 16
Elijah’s tournament did not end how he hoped. Bredwood was not himself in the final game, missing plenty of shots and failing to consistently earn his way to the free throw line. Bredwood’s best tournament game occurred in the semifinals, wherein he put up 26 points with seven rebounds, and five assists. Bredwood’s entire senior season was fantastic. He will play college for Lincoln Memorial.
G Jarrod Taylor Jarrod Taylor 6'1" | CG Salem | 2022 TN , East Nashville
Final Game Stats: 16p, 5r, 4a, 4s
Overall State Ranking: 95
State Champion.
Jarrod was dropped down around 100 back when he looked to be unable to play point guard (Summer 2021), but the quickness and handle improved a ton in the last nine months. Jarrod finished his senior season as Mr. Basketball Finalist. Regarding the tournament push, Jarrod thrived as a quick transition wing guard. He always rebounded at an elite level and finished around the rim in both the halfcourt and on the run. East Nashville won by an average of 15.3 points per game in the State Tournament!
G Amarr Knox Amarr Knox 6'3" | PG Bartlett | 2022 State #212 Nation TN , Bartlett
Final Game Stats: 33p (12-18 FG)
Overall State Ranking: 13
Amarr Knox Amarr Knox 6'3" | PG Bartlett | 2022 State #212 Nation TN played just ok through December, and then surged in 2022. The star scorer displayed elite first-step quickness. His ability to score and get into dangerous areas in this state tournament stunned defenders. Bartlett finished as a semifinalist.
G Hayden Moseley Hayden Moseley 6'2" | SG Bearden | 2022 State TN , Bearden
Final Game Stats: 25p,11r, 5s
Overall State Ranking: NA
If Hayden’s team won in regulation or overtime, then Moseley would have been the MVP. They did not, but the valiant comeback attempt enlivened the Bearden fans. Moseley ran off seven straight points and hit an incredible three-pointer to force overtime. Moseley’s second half sparkled.
F Malachi Hale, Dobyns-Bennett
Final Game Stats: 16p, 7r, 3b
Overall State Ranking: NA
State Champion.
Malachi hit a game-winner in overtime versus favorite Bartlett to advance. Then, Hale exceled underneath the brightest of lights Saturday night, collecting 16 points and three blocks. Hale was best within 5′. The team leaned on him for post defense.
