As the Wilsonville Wildcats locked down for a 34-30 victory over Silverton, a number of players particularly stood out under the bright lights. Here’s a look at our top performers from Saturday afternoon:
Enzo Chimienti (2022 Wilsonville)
Chimienti, a 6-foot combo guard, was the heart and soul of the Wildcats championship effort on Saturday. The senior scored the ball incredibly efficiently, shooting 6-for-8 on his way to a game-high 15 points. Whenever Wilsonville needed a bucket, Chimienti came through. He knocked down his only three-point attempt, and made numerous effective drives to the basket as the Wildcats built their lead in the second half.
Kallen Gutridge Kallen Gutridge 6'4" | SG Wilsonville | 2024 State OR (2024 Wilsonville)
Outside of Chimienti, is was obviously a slow day for the Wildcats. Nonetheless, Gutridge made his presence felt across the entirety of the stat sheet, recording six points, four rebounds, one assist, two blocks, and two steals. The 6-foot-2 guard did a little bit of everything, and continued to prove why he’s one of the top sophomores to watch at the 5A level.
Jordan McCarty Jordan McCarty 6'0" | CG Silverton | 2022 State OR (2022 Silverton)
As usual, McCarty was a do-it-all guy for the Foxes, leading the way with 11 huge points. The multi-sport senior was the primary catalyst of anything Silverton could muster offensively, as he also led the team with three assists. Even more so, McCarty was spectacular as a defender, constantly sliding in front to stonewall the Wilsonville perimeter players. An all-around stud, the Air Force football commit was the Foxes’ MVP on Saturday.
Ryan Redman-Brown (2022 Silverton)
A strong paint player, Redman-Brown was outstanding again on Saturday, supplying the offense that put the Foxes ahead early. The stout senior knocked down a three and scored all nine of his points in the first half. Additionally, Redman-Brown was a terrific paint protector, helping the Foxes hold standout bigs Tristan Davis Tristan Davis 6'8" | PF Lakeridge | 2023 State OR and Logan Thebiay Logan Thebiay 6'10" | PF Wilsonville | 2022 State OR to ten points combined. The senior forward collected seven rebounds and two blocks in doing so.
