The 2025 class is set for their first spring AAU season against high school competition, which should be exciting. These competitions create plenty of opportunities for players to make their mark and raise their stocks. Here are the under the radar 2025 prospects set for a big spring.
Tyler Nesland Tyler Nesland 6'1" | CG Ridgewood | 2025 State NJ , 6’1 CG Ridgewood
Nesland is set for a strong spring for the Hilltopper Basketball Club as he gets to put his skillset on full display. The 6’1 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get into the lane to finish. Nesland can also knock down shots from behind the arc and is an underrated passer. He moves well off the ball and slides his feet on the defensive end. Nesland’s ability to play on and off the ball is something that will help his stock in a big way this spring.
Justin Silva Justin Silva 6'0" | SF Southern | 2025 State NJ , SF Jersey Shore Predators
Silva will be the main post presence for the Jersey Shore Predators this spring and has the potential to breakout. He has a strong frame which he uses to get to the basket and draw contact. Silva is capable of getting position in the post and can also handle the ball on the perimeter. He is tough to boxout on both ends of the floor and uses his strength to hold up in post defense. Silva is a hard-working forward prospect whose versatility will be on display throughout the spring.
Luke Kreitz Luke Kreitz 6'0" | PG Ridge | 2025 State NJ , 5’8 PG Ridge
Kreitz will be running the show for Hoop Heaven Hawks Elite, which will be key to his development. The 5’8 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and is capable of shooting either off the dribble or catch. Kreitz can also score in the mid-range and is an underrated passer. He has a nice handle and is a good rebounder for a guard his size. Kreitz is a sharpshooting guard whose ability to knock down triples will help him in a big way this spring.
Zayier Dean Zayier Dean 6'0" | PG Red Bank Regional | 2025 State NJ , 5’10 PG Ocean Township
Dean will be the go-to guy for PPA Elite this spring with his ability to score the ball. The 5’10 guard has a quick first step and good handle, which he uses to blow by his defender in the half court. Dean is more than just a slasher as he can also knock down open jumpers from behind the arc as he creates space for himself off the dribble. He plays with quick hands on the defensive end and is a solid rebounder. Dean is a scoring lead guard prospect who should continue to put up big scoring numbers during the spring.
Myles Blackley Myles Blackley 6'3" | SG Immaculate Conception | 2025 State NJ , 6’3 SG Summit
Blackley had a solid debut season for Summit and should carry over that into the spring. The 6’3 guard has a nice release on his jumper and shoots the ball with confidence from distance. Blackley is more than just a shooter as he can also attack the basket and is a good finisher around the rim. He uses his length and athleticism to make plays on the defensive end as he averaged better than a block and steal a game in his debut varsity season. Blackley is a two-way wing who should have a strong spring season.
