Maurice Vassell Maurice Vassell 6'9" | PF St. Benedict's | 2024 State NJ , 6’9 PF St. Benedict’s
Vassell is the highest ranked newcomer on the list as he checks in at number 13. The lanky 6’9 post uses his length to swat shots around the basket and create second chance opportunities around the basket. Vassell skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and finish strong above the rim. He is developing more confidence with his perimeter game and sets good screens in the half court Vassell is an intriguing prospect to follow in the 2024 class with his ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor.
Izaiah Cannon Izaiah Cannon 6'4" | SG Olympus Prep | 2024 NJ , 6’4 SG Olympus Prep
Cannon is an intriguing prospect to watch as he can impact the game in a variety of ways. The 6’4 guard is at his best in transition where he uses his combination of athleticism and speed to create opportunities for himself. Cannon is a good finisher around the basket and is capable of finishing through contact. He can knock down open jumpers on the perimeter and is an underrated passer. Cannon is a prospect to keep an eye on as the years progress as he should continue to get better.
Wyatt Eglinton-Manner Wyatt Eglinton-Manner 6'3" | SG Ramapo | 2024 State NJ , 6’2 SG Ramapo
Engleton-Manner had a strong sophomore season for the Raiders as he helped lead them to the Group 3 Final. The 6’2 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get into the lane and finish around the basket. Engleton-Manner is more than just a slasher as he can also score in the mid-range and has a nice release on his jumper. He is capable of running the offense and gets deflections on the defensive end. Engleton-Manner is a skilled guard prospect who should continue to have big games for Ramapo as his varsity career continues.
Semaj Bethea Semaj Bethea 5'10" | PG Camden | 2024 State NJ , 6’2 SG St. Augustine
Bethea was key for the Hermits all season long as he came up clutch for them on more than one occasion. The Woodrow Wilson transfer hit a pair of big-time triples in the Cape-Atlantic League Tournament and is unafraid of taking critical shots in crunch time. Bethea plays with poise with the ball in his hands as he does not seem to get rattled by on-ball pressure. He knows how to get his teammates involved in the half court and is an underrated defender. Bethea is a gritty guard prospect who made winning plays for St. Augustine all season.
Karson Culuko Karson Culuko 6'2" | SG Pequannock | 2024 State NJ , 6’2 SG Pequannock
Culuko had a breakout season for Pequannock as he led the Panthers in scoring in 2021-22. The 6’2 guard has a good shooting form, which he uses to knock down jumpers from distance and in the mid-range. Culuko is more than just a shooter as he is also capable of finishing around the basket and drawing contact. He moves exceptionally well off the ball and is a strong rebounder for a guard. Culuko will shoulder a larger scoring load for Pequannock next season and is ready for more responsibility in the offense in 2022-23.
