The Sophomore class is a good one and we've already got over 100 ranked players in the class before their 16u AAU seasons start. There are several kids with modest statistics but big time potential so it's been a tough class to figure out so far. This is a big summer for 2024 kids and these are the highest ranked new names in the latest update. This does not include players who were in the top 10 of the rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id="1306913" first="Mason" last="Ritter"], Bowling Green - Ritter has good size and is becoming more athletic every time I see him as he's gotten much more coordinated over the last year as his growth has slowed down. Mason was one of the most efficient scorers in the state this season and will need to be a focal point of the BG offense next season. Once he becomes a more active rebounder, his stock should also take off with college coaches.

[player_tooltip player_id="1343493" first="Christian" last="Doerr"], Manual - The best adjective to describe Christian's game is "smooth". He's skilled and a good three level scorer who is solid athletically and has the physical tools to guard when he needs to. He shot 50% from the field and 33% from three but if he can nudge that three point percentage up closer to 40%, he'll become an even tougher cover for opposing defenses as they'll have to pick their poison with Doerr.

[player_tooltip player_id="1257900" first="BB" last="Washington"], CAL - Jackson "BB" Washington is the opposite of Doerr in a lot of ways as he lives behind the three point line and is a specialist in the catch and shoot game. He shot 49% from deep and took more than twice as many threes as twos for the season. Once he becomes stronger and equally dangerous as a driver, he'll get to the free throw line more and be even more dangerous as an overall offensive threat and not just a specialist.

[player_tooltip player_id="1306914" first="Quel'ron" last="House"], Ballard - House has had to wait his turn as part of a Ballard backcourt that is loaded with talent but did get a chance to shine some this season. It looks like going from a 23 to a 24 is going to help his development and give him 2 years to run the Bruins offense and be the floor general he's shown he can be. Quel'ron has a lightning quick first step and can finish around the rim well but has to develop a perimeter shot to make it to the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="1355176" first="Dalton" last="Hicks"], Fairdale - Hicks had a breakout season for the Bulldogs and led them in nearly every statistical category as a Sophomore. He shoots the ball at a high level and converts at a high rate when he gets to the free throw line. Not sure if he'll play spring AAU (I believe he's a baseball player also) but Hicks has a potential future as a combo guard at the college level if he continues developing his game like he has so far.

Other New Names:

[player_tooltip player_id="1346090" first="De'Mahjae" last="Clark"], Belfry

[player_tooltip player_id="1320254" first="Jeremiah" last="Godfrey"], Great Crossing

[player_tooltip player_id="1362965" first="Indred" last="Whitaker"], Somerset

[player_tooltip player_id="1363685" first="Camden" last="Cox"], Spencer County

[player_tooltip player_id="1389731" first="Hayden" last="Harris"] Clay County
