Thomas has progressively come into his own this season for the goats as the season has progressed. Thomas is a good-sized wing that has great mid-range ability. He has a lot of poise to his game and has become an improving three-point shooter as well. He is a willing defender and wants to become a better one. He has a signature spin move he likes to use within the 10 to 14-foot range to score around the rim. He is learning how to continue to be a strong finisher around the rim, he has the potential to become an above-average defender as an upperclassman. With four starters leaving the Goats this year, Thomas will be depended on heavily and expected to pick up a huge role next season. Thomas will have a big summer ahead with Team Charlotte and his head coach Jeff McIinnis can make sure he is guiding him in the right direction, so he is prepared for October as well.
Sean Rose Sean Rose 6'6" | PF Charlotte Latin | 2023 State NC 6’6″ Charlotte Latin High 2023
I have had my eye on rose since I saw him earlier in the season and he has continuously improved this season as the Hawks have dominated most of the year. An unorthodox player that is very effective; He is an improving shooter, who has a reliable elbow jumper. He is still working on extending his range, but there have been games this season where he has shown the ability to make three-pointers. He has a soft touch around the rim and can be explosive somewhat. This summer I expect him to get stronger and become a high riser going into his senior year. He can become an elite two-way player with his size and length. Prototypical three and D player, excited to see where his dribbling ability may be able to get to after another summer of work.
Alex Bates Alex Bates 6'5" | SG United Faith Christian Academy | 2023 State NC 6’5″ United Faith 2023
Bates has been a player that has been on a team full of talent and you only have been able to see his impressive talent in bursts. Bates is a reliable cover three-point specialist, that has a hell of a motor. Averaging almost two steals on the season, he’s active in passing lanes and welcomes guarding talented players. Bates’ sneaky athleticism has made him a tri-level scorer. He shows comfortability with his back to the basket and has a smooth turnaround jumper from hat spot as well. Bates is a confident shooter, I think the next step for him is becoming a better ball-handler and distributor. He has the potential to become a leading man for United Faith next year if he can become an even better creator
John Lash John Lash 6'5" | PF Charlotte Christian | 2025 State NC 6’5″ Charlotte Christian 2024
Lash is a double-double machine, he is a baseball star first and a double-double machine after. He has soft hands and has a good knack for grabbing rebounds on both ends of the floor. A skilled defender and he is an impressive defensive player, averaging almost two steals. He is also totaling 13 points and 8 rebounds a game. Leading his team with eight double-doubles so far this season.
