Cade Collins Cade Collins 6'4" | SG Jesuit | 2023 State OR (2023 Jesuit)
Collins is the proto-typical Jesuit player – he’s going to play smart, move well without the ball and get open, and knock down shots. That’s exactly what the 6-foot-3 junior did in overtime against Beaverton, stepping up and hitting the go-ahead three that propelled the Crusaders to the victory. There aren’t necessarily any frills with his game, but there’s plenty of production and he led the Crusaders with 12 points.
Chance White Chance White 6'0" | CG Roosevelt | 2024 State OR (2024 Roosevelt)
You might be surprised that White is Roosevelt’s second-leading scorer this season, but he plays off the attention given to teammate Terrance Hill so well. He’s become a knockdown shooter in the corner and got going early against Cleveland in that spot. The 6-foot guard also had some quick drives to the hoop and finished around the rim. His second half wasn’t as big as
Sean Chris Tresvant Sean Chris Tresvant 5'11" | PG Cleveland | 2023 State OR (2023 Cleveland)
Tresvant ended up with 14 points against Roosevelt – thanks to a slew of free throws at the end of the game as the Warriors held on to their lead – but where the junior guard made the most difference was on the defensive end. He really stuck with star sophomore Terrence Hill Jr Terrence Hill Jr 6'3" | PG Roosevelt | 2024 State #183 Nation OR all night long, making it tough for him to get clean looks all night long. Tresvant also did a nice job with his ball-handling against pressure.
Christian Green Christian Green 6'1" | CG Cleveland | 2023 State OR (2023 Cleveland)
There may be no more electric leaper in the Portland area than Green. The 6-foot-1 junior was playing above the rim against Roosevelt, really using his vertical to snare rebounds on both ends of the floor, grabbing 11 total. Offensively he created off of the bounce and used his ranginess and athleticism to finish around the hoop, but also knocked down an open three. He finished with 18 points.
Kavon Bradford Kavon Bradford 6'2" | CG Benson | 2023 State OR (2023 Benson)
Bradford has adjusted to being a full-time point guard and it’s paid off for the Techmen. With a win on Saturday over Wells, the Techmen have won six in a row and the junior has been a big reason why. He played a complete game with 21 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists, constantly looked to attack the hoop and get his teammates involved. Bradford has improved his long-range shooting but remains at his best getting into the lane and pulling up.
Miguel Taylor Miguel Taylor 6'6" | CG Summit | 2024 State ID (2024 Benson)
It was a very quiet first half for Taylor against Benson but that changed in a hurry in the second half as the rangy 6-foot-6 sophomore got things going with his shot. He canned a three and then started hitting a number of 15-footers to help the Techmen maintain their lead. Then late on defense, Taylor used his length to defend the lane and block some shots. He finished with 13 points, four rebounds, and three blocks.
Jonah Jones Jonah Jones 6'4" | PF Westside Christian | 2023 State OR (2023 Wells)
Ever since he first step foot into a high school gym, it’s been evident that Jones can rebound. The 6-foot-4 forward has a real bounce in his step and can not only leap high, he’s a quick leaper as well. So it was no surprise seeing him pull down 10 boards against Benson – not even when we heard he grabbed 21 in a game earlier in the week. In that game, he also scored 21, which shows how he’s developed offensively this season, especially with the elbow jumper.
Parker Harrison Parker Harrison 6'3" | SG Clackamas | 2023 State OR (2023 Nelson)
Harrison has some solid qualities for a high school wing – he’s got a solid frame at 6-foot-3, good athleticism, and plays hard on both ends of the floor. He had things going against Reynolds with his shot and his willingness to go after the ball helped lead to some other easy scoring opportunities. His hustle helped lead to him grabbing a team-high 11 rebounds to go along with his game-high 23 points, which included five threes.
