Amari Jedkins Amari Jedkins 6'7" | PF Racine Case | 2022 State WI (6’8 2022 F, Racine Case)- In a rivalry game against Racine Horlick, Amari delivered with a big game to put Case ahead early. In leading them to the win, Amari was showing his skills in transition as he runs the floor so hard as a big to get ahead for transition dunks and alley-oop looks. Not many guys in the state can move like he does at his height, and that mobility translates to the defensive end where he can sit and defend smaller wings while also acting as a rim protector. Jedkins continued to showcase his improved jumper with range beyond the three point line on his way to 23 points and 9 rebounds in the win.
Jack Rose Jack Rose 6'5" | SG Westosha Central | 2022 State #213 Nation WI (6’4 2022 SG, Westosha Central)- In a matchup of ranked Division 2 teams, Jack came out firing. With a smaller defender on him, Rose was looking to get into the post, where he has the patience to spin over either shoulder to finish, or hit a quick fadeaway jumper using his high release. From beyond the arc Jack was running off screens where he was then able to quickly get squared up to shoot off the catch. Showed a little more wiggle to get to the rim off the dribble than he does in most games as he went on to score 28 points in a win.
Matthew Schmainda Matthew Schmainda 6'2" | CG Brookfield East | 2023 State WI (6’1 2023 G, Brookfield East)- Matt showed why he’s one of the top 2023 shooters in the state, draining six threes on his way to 26 points against Madison East. You just can’t afford to give him an inch of space because he’s able to get himself balanced and squared up in a hurry to release his shot off the catch. Range extends to well beyond the arc, but he also has a strong frame that allows him to get inside and convert on some finishes through contact. Having a big year scoring 16.3 ppg and shooting over 40% from deep.
Arhman Lewis Arhman Lewis 5'9" | PG Madiosn Laffollette | 2023 State WI (6’ 2023 PG, Madison La Follette)- One of the better point guards in the 2023 class, Arhman is so difficult to stay in front of. He’s quick and possesses a shifty handle that allows him to shake his initial defender and makes plays for himself and others. Had a few high level passes while moving at full speed, delivering his passes right into his teammates’ hands ready to shoot. Lewis possesses a quick release from beyond the arc, allowing him to get off his shot before his defender can catch up. So dangerous handling the ball in the open floor because he keeps the ball low where defenders can’t reach it, allowing him to weave in and out of traffic up the floor. Finished with 16 points against Menomonee Falls.
Robert Peters Robert Peters 6'8" | PF West Allis Hale | 2023 State WI (6’8 2023 PF, West Allis Hale)- Robert is turning into a force at 6’8. He’s one of the top frontcourt prospects in the 2023 class for good reason, and he flashed some versatility on Friday night. At 6’8 he handled the ball at times for Hale, showing he can get his team into their offense while also getting to the rim off the dribble. When he caught on the block, the defense was forced to double team because if they didn’t his strength allowed him to back into deep post position for easy finishes. Also showcased his shooting touch from three and mid-range on his way to 27 points. Defensively he’s so strong on the block, has quick feet at his size to defend on the perimeter when needed, and showed some potential as a shot blocking threat.
Cole Hansen Cole Hansen 6'4" | SG Legacy Early College | 2024 State SC (6’4 2024 SG, Wauwatosa West)- One of the toughest competitors you’ll find in the 2024 class, Cole just wants to win. Even with his three point shot not falling on Friday, Cole found ways to get high percentage looks around the rim to score 24 points in an overtime victory. He’s dangerous in the mid-range as not a lot of teams have guards his size, allowing him to pull-up from mid-range with limited space and get off a clean shot. Also showed he has the ability to back down smaller guards inside or slash to the basket with some hard off ball cuts. Cole always brings a ton of energy on both ends of the floor as he’s hyping his teammates up after big plays. Scrappy and skilled guard in the 2024 class.
Peyton McKenna (6’1 2024 G, Germantown)- Germantown looks to be building for the future as they have a number of talented young prospects on their roster. One of those is Peyton McKenna, a sophomore guard who didn’t back down against a loaded Waukesha South backcourt. He’s a quick player with deep range from three, and an accurate shot that allows him to hit at a high rate when given the space. Against South he was moving hard off the ball to work for open looks, and was making defenders pay forgiving him too much room. Sharpshooter to know in the 2024 class.
