Jamar Franklin Jamar Franklin 6'1" | CG Speights Academy | 2022 State #246 Nation FL | 6’3” PG | Speights Academy 2022
Franklin was fantastic in day one for Speights Academy in their win over FUMA, as the South Alabama commit did a great job both running the show and being a viable scoring threat as well. At 6’3” he has great size at the PG position and can handle pressure and get them into sets, he can create space and make shots from deep off the bounce and is a good shooter off the catch and he has good feel and IQ on both ends of the floor. He finished with 25 points in their win on day one.
Jalen Keago | 6’5” WG | Speights Academy 2022
Keago was one of the most consistent players at the event over the two days, as the available sniper shot the basketball well and made a lot of winning plays for his group. He has great size on the wing and is very confident in his shooting ability, he sets his feet well on the move and has a quick release and he is no slouch on the defense end as well. He finished with 20 points in their win over FUMA and 15 in their loss to Massanutten.
David Dixon | 6’8” PF | Speights Academy 2022
There were quite a few available big men worth a look at the event, and Dixon is one of them as he showed good ability on both ends of the floor and a lot of upside moving forward. He has a very strong frame and is able to muscle in his way in the paint, he has good touch around the rim and out to 18 feet and he’s a very good rim protector with good explosion and timing. He can impact the game in the paint in a number of ways and was consistent throughout the event.
AJ Storr AJ Storr 6'6" | SF IMG Academy post grad | 2022 State #119 Nation FL | 6’6” WF | IMG PG 2022
While IMG had a rough weekend going 0-2, Storr showed he’s one of the best scorers in the country and has great versatility on the offensive end of the floor. The 6’6” St. John’s commit showed he can play on or off the basketball to get open and make shots, he can score it from deep and in the midrange with good arc and consistency on his shot and he’s a strong and athletic finisher in the paint. He finished the event averaging 25.5 points in the two games.
Justin Taylor Justin Taylor 6'5" | SG IMG Academy | 2022 State #156 Nation FL | 6’5” WG | IMG PG 2022
The Syracuse commit had a rough first game in their loss to Mt. Zion Prep but he stepped it up in game two against TSF and showed his shot making ability. The Syracuse commit has ideal size on the wing and is a fluid athlete, he moves well off the ball to get open and sets his feet well and he can make shots from deep and make contested shots from the midrange and at the rim as well. He finished with 13 points in their loss to TSF.
Quadir Copeland Quadir Copeland 6'5" | SG IMG Academy | 2022 FL | 6’6” G | 2022
Copeland is one of the most talented guards in the country with his unique blend of size and playmaking ability, and he played well despite the losses this past weekend. He showed his playmaking ability and flair with some very exciting assists, he showed his ability to get downhill and finish around the rim and he looks like he’s improving on his ability to make jump shots as well. With his size and guard ability he has tons of upside for the next few years at Syracuse.
