Phillips is ranked as our No.1 prospect in the 2024 class and looks to back it up during this final run of the season. His athleticism, elite defense, and top-tier finishing ability have propelled Jacksonville to be one of the best teams, regardless of region. Phillips can lock up one through five, protect the rim, grab rebounds, and take it coast to coast as a highly-skilled big in transition. He also is a consistent lob threat of the roll and can slash with the best of them. Phillips will look to dominate the paint, and if the season is any indication of what’s going to happen, it seems like he won’t be stopped.

Williams is an elite soccer who can catch the eyes of D1 scouts if he displays his full skill set. He possesses an elite first step that can cause players his size and even smaller guards significant problems. Williams has an uncanny ability to be fluid and shifty off the bounce and moves like a 6 foot PG when operating off the bounce. His long strides enable him to attack the rim with minimal dribbles and effectiveness. This, alongside his ability to play above the rim makes him dangerous as a driver. As a knock-down mid-range shooter, Williams can also dominate from the perimeter. His high release point and quick motion make his mid-range jumper almost unstoppable. With Williams being one of the more exciting prospects left in this area, look for him to go head up with other top prospects and show he can hang.

6’5 PG/SG Jacksonville 2023
Broom is an elite scorer who embraces being the No.1 option on the Jacksonville squad. With ideal length at his position, he presents match-up problems with his size, ability to rise over the top and knock down perimeter shots, and craftiness off the dribble. His bag is deep and filled with initial moves, counters, and hesitations that help him excel as an isolation scorer. He also can finish when initiating contact at the basket and is skilled with both hands when driving. As a shooter, he can move to space and operate off the ball at an elite level whenever he’s playing the two-guard position. Look for Broom to be a dynamic scorer that plays both point and shooting guard positions with a score-first mentality.

Haleyville | 2023
State
AL
6’2 PG/SG Haleyville 2023
James was one of the more underrated prospects during the season and can make a name for himself if he can carry the momentum he built into this final four appearance. With James averaging 23 points per contest, he is one of the more prolific scorers in the state, and he does with his phenomenal paint game. James has floaters, euros, hop gathers, and can finish with either hand. His dominance at the hoop and constant paint touches breaks down defenses and generates quality looks. So look for James to carry Haleyville with strong drives and dribble penetration.

6’2 PG/SG St James 2022
Thomas is a guard with solid size and speed. His ability to be a disruptor on defense enables him to get lost on the break and show off his athleticism. He plays with speed, burst, and can finish with both hands. He uses his frame well when getting his shoulders ahead of defenders and not allowing them back into the play. As a defender, Thomas is instinctual and understands how to time dribbles and passes and generate steals at a high rate. Look for Thomas to contribute as a high-level two-way guard and get it done on both ends.
