Many know about the main players entering into today’s match-ups but let’s look at some players who have not got a lot of ink this post-season that may have something to say about who punches tickets to the Final 4.
Quentin Hayes Quentin Hayes 6'2" | NA lbs | SG Enterprise | 2022 State #NA Nation AL (6’2/CG/2022)
School: Enterprise HS
Instagram: N/A
Twitter: @qhayes22
When Enterprise matches up against Smiths Station, you will see early what type of night Enterprise is going to have on the offensive end of the floor by how well Quentin comes out the gate shooting. If he finds his touch early, it will be a long night for Smiths Station.
If Enterprise is going to punch their ticket to the Final 4, Quentin’s shooting from behind the arc will be key.
Chase James (5’11/Shooting Guard/2024)
School: Spain Park HS

Twitter: @chasejames4ptw
Chase is not necessarily the primary weapon for the Jags, but his production is seen throughout when you look at the stat sheet. His poise and hard-nosed play have been a factor in every game that I have seen Spain Park play this year. He has a complete all-around game and will be a key piece to matching up with the tremendous guard play that Huntsville brings into the contest.
Keep an eye on Chase and his impact on both ends of the floor.
Massiah Morris Massiah Morris 5'10" | NA lbs | CG Huntsville | 2022 State #NA Nation AL (5’10/Point Guard/2022)
School: Huntsville HS
Instagram: massiah.morris
Twitter: @massiahmorris
With all eyes on Ja’Mari Arnold, Massiah is going to have an opportunity to make a significant impact in the #Elite8 match-up against Spain Park. Massiah’s ability to get to the paint off the bounce will be a tough challenge for Spain Park’s guard to defend. If Spain Park is unable to keep Massiah out of the paint and unable to contain his playmaking ability, it is going to be a difficult task to take down one of the hottest teams in the post-season.
Alec Elkins Alec Elkins 5'9" | SG Lucy Beckham | 2024 #46 Nation SC (6’4/Combo Guard/2024)
School: Baker HS

Labaron is probably the most athletic player in the #Elite8 and is one of the reasons why Baker is favored to win it all. When you are talking about players that could decide one of the match-ups in the #Elite8, Labaron could decide the entire Class 7A championship.
Theodore will have their hands full trying to contain LP, and they just may find out what others have found out all year, that stopping LP is almost unstoppable.
Ryan Giegel (6’5/Small Forward/2022)
School: Oak Mountain HS
Instagram: Ryangiegel
Twitter: @RyanGiegel
Ryan has good size and length, which will be a needed factor in the match-up against James Clemens. The strength of Ryan’s game is when he is behind the arc, waiting on the pass for a quick catch and shoot. If Oak Mountain can get in the paint and collapse the D and find their open shooters around the arc, look for Ryan to have a huge night and make life challenging for James Clemens defensively.
Pierce Roper Pierce Roper 6'0" | CG James Clemens | 2023 State AL (5’11/Point Guard/2023)
School: James Clemens HS
Instagram: I am.pierce1k_
Twitter: @roper_pierce
Pierce is a guard that can score the rock and is disruptive on the defensive end of the floor. Even though he can score the rock, he finds a balance in running the show and is at his best as the floor general. He will play an essential role in the match-up against Oak Mountain as if Enterprise can control the tempo, they can get Oak Mountain to play their style of game and force Oak Mountain into a game they may not be comfortable playing.
Pierce will be a crucial piece to making that happen.
Good luck to all the teams and players competing in the #Elite8.
