While we want the 2022 class to go as deep as possible to earn more coverage, some talented guys will be knocked out early. College coaches, here’s a report full of seniors that can make a difference in your next recruiting class.
Wesley Bonner – The 6’1 CG can score and dish in the halfcourt. Bonner put pressure on the defense with his ability to get in the paint where he can pull up in the midrange and score near the rim with an assortment of finishes. If you’re a team that likes to get out and run, Bonner is a perfect quarterback for you with his ability to find goes on the break.
Jamar Houston Jamar Houston 6'2" | CG Central Florida Christian Academy | 2022 State FL – A 6-4 shooting guard with highlight reel athleticism. Houston checks all boxes and them some as a next level athlete. He has range out to the college three and can make plays with the ball in his hands.
Uchenna Kellman Uchenna Kellman 6'4" | CG Sanford Seminole | 2022 State FL -Nicholes – The 6’4 off guard has the athleticism to excel in transition and as a cutter. He’s a physical defender with the needed length to bother every perimeter position. Kellman-Nicholes can also stretch the floor with his ability to knock down corner 3s.
Jackson Slater Jackson Slater 6'0" | CG Dr. Phillips | 2022 State FL – Dr. Phillips’ starting point guard is a calm hand for a defending state champion with their eyes set on a repeat. He makes plays on both ends of the court without needing anything called for him. Slater recently received an offer from Centenary College of Louisiana.
Landon Hughlett – Hughlett has an automatic stroke from behind the arc. The guard out of Dallas was automatic during the Montverde Invitational, where he knocked down 2.5 threes a game on 50% from downtown. He flashed shot creation with one dribble pull-up jumper. The 2022 prospects drew fouls on three point attempts on each game played.
Jerry Addo Boateng Jerry Addo Boateng 6'3" | CG Sanford Seminole | 2022 State FL – Addo Boateng is receiving attention from out of state D3 schools. Between 6’3 size, a high activity level, and athleticism hit fits the bill of a next level guard. He’ll have things to work on as a lead guard but will have plenty of tools to work with and be an adequate on-ball defender from day 1.
Caeden Duford – Several schools are hunting for the talented lead ball handler. Duford can pass with dart-like precision, hit shots from deep on high efficiency, and run a team. Duford has a solid package of skills for the next level.
Patrick Ruffner – Ruffner has been one of the best post scorers I’ve seen all season. He’s incredibly technical and has great footwork. Whether it’s hitting the long two or taking guards with similar size off the dribble, the 2022 prospect has shown he can bring value to the four spots. Rollins is currently showing interest in the high academic 6’7 forward.
Andre Myers – Myers currently has Jucos around the state interested in his shot-making. The 6’2 guard knows how to get to his spots where he can stop on a dime for pull-up jumpers. The ability to hit the long ball and create for himself can carve out a promising role for him on the right roster.
Kevin Odom Kevin Odom 5'7" | PG Jackson | 2022 State FL – Odom has been one of my favorite speedsters since our Prep Hoops Expo in August. The muscular 5’7 guard can dictate an offense with his passing and ability to penetrate the paint. He’s scored against taller players with his lightning quick pull-up, craftiness around the rim, and floater. Odom says he hears from a school in the Miami area.
Lewis Jones Lewis Jones 6'6" | CG Oak Ridge | 2022 State FL – Jones was part of one of the best defensive performances I’ve seen this summer. The 6’6 forward is strong, long, and physical. With his ability to score as a slasher and off the catch, Jones has skills that translate to both sides of the ball.
