District 10: Preview, Predictions And Players

PREVIEW District 10 should be a highly competitive draw. There is talent up and down the board and there are teams that are very real threats to make deep runs in the state tournament. Muskegon has been playing great basketball and they have the talent and depth to make a run at a state title. Don’t count out talented teams like Grand Haven. There are multiple teams that have the talent to walk away with a title. Isaiah Currie (2022, PG, Coopersville) Currie has shown scoring punch this season and Coopersville will be a tough out if he can get buckets. Genesis Kemp Genesis Kemp 6'7" | SF Grand Rapids Union | 2022 State MI (2022, SF, Grand Rapids Union) Kemp is loaded with talent and potential and he has shown that he can score in multiple ways from multiple spots on the floor. Bashir Neely Bashir Neely 5'10" | PG Grand Haven | 2022 State MI (2022, PG, Grand Haven) Neely is a slick guard that can set the table and play pass first as well as get his own when the time or situation calls for it. Javion Otten Javion Otten 6'3" | SG Kenowa Hills | 2023 State MI (2023, SG, Grand Rapids Kenowa Hills) Otten is a terrific athlete that can change the momentum of a game in the open floor. Nic Stump Nic Stump 6'5" | PF Grand Haven | 2022 State MI (2022, PF, Grand Haven) Stump is a really nice forward with good post footwork and a solid mid range game. Parker Swartz Parker Swartz 6'6" | SF Grand Rapids Northview | 2023 State MI (2023, SF, Muskegon Mona Shores) Swartz is a solid 2 way player that plays vertical defense and can score multiple levels. Anthony Sydnor III Anthony Sydnor III 6'3" | PG Muskegon | 2023 State MI (2023, SG, Muskegon) Insert a handful of Muskegon players here, but Sydnor III is a special talent. He’s an athletic scorer that can dish the ball with flare as well.
