1. Seth Trimble Seth Trimble 6'3" | PG Menomonee Falls | 2022 State #50 Nation WI (Menomonee Falls)
Think Trimble is going to hang onto this spot. Loved his response after Falls got off to a slower than expected start this season. You’ve seen a fire lit under Trimble and he’s playing the best basketball of his career. The North Carolina commit is posting 27 points, seven rebounds, and four assists per game this season. A bouncy, explosive guard with some of the best leaping ability I’ve ever seen, Trimble is a walking poster. He’s also rounded out his game so well over the last four years, developing a consistent outside shot, operating in the pick n’ roll, becoming a defensive stopper, and seeing the entire floor.
2. Leon Bond Leon Bond 6'5" | SF Wauwatosa East | 2022 State #62 Nation WI (Wauwatosa East)
Bond has some competition now, but has met expectations during his senior season. Given all the talent Tosa East lost following their state title run, Bond wasn’t going to have the same supporting cast, but is still delivering 21 points and six rebounds per game. Even though he’s a project at the next level, I’ve always loved Bond because he does the little things and doesn’t solely rely on his athleticism. As we saw last season, Bond has no problem being a role player. He’ll impact the game in a variety of ways and now that he’s developed a consistent shot, can potentially be an early impact guy at Virginia next season.
3. Andrew Rohde Andrew Rohde 6'6" | SG Brookfield Central | 2022 State WI (Brookfield Central)
The biggest riser in this group, Rohde has been playing unbelievably well this season. Rohde is putting up 29 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. Not only that, Brookfield Central, who lost two Division 1 players last season, is sitting at 13-5 and in second place in the loaded Greater Metro Conference. At 6-foot-6, Rohde can create any shot he wants. He’s developed into an all-around playmaker that also takes pride on the defensive end and can shut down the other team’s best player. Think St. Thomas is getting a big steal here.
4. Danilo Jovanovich Danilo Jovanovich 6'6" | PF Whitnall | 2022 State WI (Whitnall)
Jovanovich has led Whitnall to a 17-1 record. The Miami (FL) commit is averaging 30 points, 12.5 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. A skilled, versatile lefty, Jovanovich has been a mismatch nightmare this season with his ability to score inside-out, handle the ball on the perimeter, and get coast-to-coast in the open floor. Might be a little bit of a tweener at the next level and in the ACC, but have loved how hard Jovanovich has worked to be more than a finesse scorer, willing to bang and compete on the block for position.
5. Steven Clay Steven Clay 6'5" | SG Menomonee Falls | 2022 State #193 Nation WI (Menomonee Falls)
Not many better pure scorers in the state than Clay. He plays next to Trimble and still gets 18 points and seven rebounds per contest for a surging 16-2 Falls club. Clay has tight handles, long arms, and explosive isolation scoring ability. The 6-foot-5 wing also may have the biggest killer instinct in the state. Takes a lot of tough shots, but makes them as well. Doesn’t get enough credit on the defensive end either as someone who makes momentum-changing plays and causes havoc.
6. Jackson Paveletzke Jackson Paveletzke 6'1" | CG Kimberly | 2022 State WI (Kimberly)
Think Paveletzke is a great fit for Wofford on the Southern Conference in general. The most skilled player in the state, Paveletzke is an offensive assassin that’s getting 29 points, seven assists, and five rebounds per contest. Paveletzke just never stops moving on the floor, can take over a game as a scorer or facilitator, has every counter in his bag, and operates at top-end speed.
7. Maximus Nelson Maximus Nelson 6'7" | PF Appleton North | 2022 State #236 Nation WI (Appleton North)
Nelson is averaging 25 points and 11 rebounds for Appleton North, who’s been among the most improved teams in the state. A sweet-shooting big man, Nelson has a guard-like stroke and has a chance to be a killer at Valparaiso in the pick n’ pop game. Nelson sets his feet and lets it fly as well as big man, maybe any prospect, in this 2022 class. He’s also versatile with his ability to face-up in the mid-range or scorer with his back to the basket.
8. Learic Davis Learic Davis 6'7" | SF Milwaukee Bradley Tech | 2022 State WI (Milwaukee Bradley Tech)
Want to see how he finishes the season or competes in some high level games, but really thinking about moving Davis into the top 10. Davis is a “boom or bust” prospect, but he continues to climb towards that high ceiling and his flashes are very consistent. His uniqueness makes it very hard to project, but thought Davis really turned a corner in the spring/summer as a 6-foot-7 floor general who can do more than just be a human highlight reel. Yes, the athleticism and open floor ability is exciting, but Davis can also defend multiple positions and has a terrific feel as a drive and dish facilitator. The unsigned senior is averaging 24 points, nine rebounds, and five assists per game. His 3-point shooting has also improved, knocking it down at a 36 percent clip.
9. Jack Rose Jack Rose 6'5" | SG Westosha Central | 2022 State #213 Nation WI (Westosha Central)
Rose is giving Westosha Central 19 points and six rebounds per game. Most importantly, the Falcons are 16-2 this season. An unsigned senior, Rose brings a lot to the table as a prospect. He’s about as blue collar as it gets from the guard spot, willing to stick his face in the fan and battle for loose balls, rebounds, etc. He’s also a three-level scorer that can take people in the post, shoot off screens, or pull up off the bounce in the mid-range. May lack prototypical athleticism, but will likely find a way onto the floor at the Division 1 level.
10. Jack Campion Jack Campion 5'10" | PG Milton | 2022 State WI (Milton)
A prospect that’s really getting hurt by the transfer portal, Campion is a legit Division 1 talent. He’s lit up so many high-level AAU teams, it’s not even a question anymore. One of the fastest players in the country with the ball in his hands, Campion is averaging 16 points, six assists, and five rebounds per game from the point guard position. He’s dialed his show down this year, allowed others to thrive, and been more of a complete lead guard, but make no mistake, Campion can go get his 20-30 points if needed.
