In this article, my focus brings me to Class 3A Region 4. The No. 1 seed is Westminster Academy. The Lions are 20-6 overall and have won 11 straight games. Westminster Academy won three straight championships from 2017-2019. Can they raise another banner in March?
2025 Alexander Lloyd Alexander Lloyd 6'4" | SG Westminster | 2025 State #64 Nation FL has been an electric player for the Lions. Few kids have his ability off the bounce. Lloyd can glide his way into the paint and finish with either hand. Moreover, he can create space with his ball skill and knock down an open 3-pointer. Lloyd’s decision making continues to improve in the open floor. He holds an offer from Florida Gulf Coast with more to come. 2023 Jaylen Carey Jaylen Carey 6'8" | PF Westminster Academy | 2023 State #129 Nation FL is a dominant power forward at 6-foot-8. Carey has more than enough size and footwork to score 20 points and grab ten rebounds per night. I think his ability to stretch the floor could give Westminster Academy another weapon in its arsenal. 2022 Rickey Ballard Rickey Ballard 6'6" | CG Westminster | 2022 State FL can slash his way into the paint and is an excellent perimeter defender. 2022 Aidan Abell Aidan Abell 6'6" | SG Westminster Academy | 2022 State FL is a smooth shooter from deep and can create off the dribble. Westminster Academy is tough to stop when its firing on all cylinders. Divine Savior Academy is 15-6 overall behind 2022 Xander Castillo’s 17.3 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. 2023 James Tejada has made 60 3-pointers at a 41 percent clip. Point guard Giann Romero is averaging 12 points and nearly four rebounds per game.
No. 4 seed Westminster Christian will face No. 5 seed Florida Christian. The Warriors are 10-16 overall under head coach PJ Brown. 2023 Daniel Fernandez Daniel Fernandez 6'0" | PG Westminster Christian | 2023 FL is a tough, deceptive point guard for Westminster Christian. The 6-foot Fernandez is averaging over 17 points and six boards per game. 2022 Isiah Middleton is shooting a team-best 48 percent from the floor while averaging over 15 points per game. In addition, Middleton is shooting 43 percent from deep. The Patriots are 16-11 overall under head coach Jason Doan. This is a dangerous team that can shoot the basketball. 2022 Nicholas Mate Nicholas Mate 5'10" | CG Florida Christian | 2022 State FL has made 96 3-pointers while averaging 16.7 points per game. 2022’s Charlie Bell Charlie Bell 6'4" | CG Victory Rock | 2022 State FL and Jose Amat Jose Amat 5'9" | CG Florida Christian | 2022 State FL III have made over 40 3-pointers each. 6-foot-2 Levertis Williams Levertis Williams 6'3" | SG Coral Reef | 2022 State FL is averaging 9.3 points and 5.7 rebounds per game.
No. 2 seed Riviera Prep will face No. 7 seed Ransom Everglades. The Bulldogs are 20-7 overall under head coach Anthony Shabazz. 2022 Esteban Lluberes Esteban Lluberes 5'10" | PG Riviera Prep | 2022 State FL is averaging 18.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.7 steals per game. The 5-foot-10 point guard is compact and tough when driving towards the basket. This is a kid I believe you want with the ball in his hands with the game on the line. Lluberes is committed to Lynn University. 2025 Dante Allen Dante Allen 6'5" | SF Riviera Prep | 2025 State #57 Nation FL is a 6-foot-4 guard that can be dangerous in the open floor. His athleticism is solid and he can rebound with his length. Allen is averaging over 12 points and six boards per game. 2022 Edward Nnamoko Edward Nnamoko 6'10" | C Riviera Prep | 2022 State FL is a dominant rim protector at 6-foot-10. Overall, he has grabbed 229 boards and blocked 54 shots this season. Former forward Osmar Garcia Araujo left earlier this season for a program up in Georgia. Ransom Everglades is 19-8 overall behind 2023 Daniel Ribeiro (19.7 ppg). Moreover, Ribeiro has made 90 3-pointers at a 42 percent clip. 2022 Zach Marcus is averaging a team-best 8 boards per game. 2022 Aidan Rothstein is a playmaking guard (11.3 ppg/5.4 rpg/3.1 apg).
No. 3 seed Miami Country Day will face No. 6 seed Somerset Prep. The Spartans are a tough team in this spot. Miami Country Day is 15-10 overall behind 2025 phenom Shon Abaev Shon Abaev 6'7" | CG Calvary Christian | 2025 State #24 Nation FL (20.2 ppg) and 2023 Jasai Miles Jasai Miles 6'5" | CG Miami Country Day | 2023 State #241 Nation FL (16.7 ppg). The 6-foot-6 Abaev is an excellent scorer from all three levels. He is shooting 43 percent (72-of-166) from deep. The 6-foot-5 Miles is an athletic wing that can create in the open floor. Moreover, his length has contributed to over eight boards per game. 2022 Ryan Richardson Ryan Richardson 6'4" | CG Miami Country Day | 2022 State FL (13.1 ppg) can also shot the three (34 3pm). Miami Country Day made it to the 3A final four last season. Somerset Prep is 20-9 overall behind 2022’s Deshayne Montgomery Deshayne Montgomery 6'2" | SF Somerset North Lauderdale | 2022 State FL (18 ppg) and Jaiden Miller Jaiden Miller 6'0" | PG Somerset North Lauderdale | 2022 State FL (15.6 ppg). The 6-foot-4 Montgomery is shooting a team-best 61 percent from the floor while grabbing six boards per game. Miller does a nice job with his ability to create (5.3 apg). 2023 Ricardo Corvil is averaging 14.6 boards (7.6 offensive) per game. In addition, his 3.4 steals per game are a team-best.
