Joseph Allen | Douglass ’22
Allen is a rangy athlete who plays with a relentless motor. He is a deflection machine who will not hesitate to dive on the floor to secure a 50/50. Allen is an above-the-rim finisher who is dangerous in transition.
Mikhai Arnold Mikhai Arnold 6'0" | PG Frederick Douglass | 2022 State MD | Douglass ’22
Arnold was doing a bit of everything on both ends for his team. He often looked to get downhill and attack the basket, but also remained a threat from long range. Arnold had a bevy of assists and took care of the ball. He also defended with tenacity, resulting in multiple steals and deflections.
Myles Jackson | Westlake ‘22
Jackson is a skilled left-handed guard who handled the ball a ton down the stretch for Westlake. He is good at keeping his dribble alive, getting to his spots, and taking what the defense gives him. Jackson recorded 18 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks in the win.
Aaron Keels | Douglass ’22
Keels is a long-limbed big man who is very disruptive defensively. He knows how to alter shots and stay out of foul trouble by walling up. Keels is also a sneaky-good passer.
Albert Mouring | Douglass ’23
Mouring is a lefty with a pure jumper. He hit multiple threes and made key free throws. Mouring also got the deflection to seal the win on the last possession of double-overtime.
Jaylin Payne Jaylin Payne 6'7" | C Eleanor Roosevelt | 2022 State MD | Roosevelt ’22
Payne played with a ton of confidence tonight. The big man was a consistent source of points in the paint for his team. Payne demonstrated nice footwork and expanding face-up skills. He caught a couple of lobs and made some nice passes from the high post.
Wisdom Rogers Wisdom Rogers 6'7" | C St. Charles | 2022 State MD | St. Charles ‘22
Whenever Rogers got a touch, good things generally happened. The big man worked hard to establish position on the block throughout the contest. Rogers attacked the glass, communicated consistently on defense, and took a couple of charges. He finished with 16 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks on the night.
Michael Washington | Westlake ‘22
Washington set the tone by pressuring the ball early and often in the backcourt. He only took 4 shots but made 3 of them (2 for 3 from 3pt range). Washington’s presence was felt defensively and on the glass. He grabbed 6 rebounds and swiped 2 steals.
