Judah Casaus Judah Casaus 6'0" | SG Del Norte | 2023 State NM – 6’1 Shooting Guard “Del Norte” Class of 2023
Judah Casaus Judah Casaus 6'0" | SG Del Norte | 2023 State NM had a great week to open up district play. His play helped Del Norte win their first two games in District. This past Wednesday January 19th, he had a double double of 21 points and 11 rebounds on the road vs Bernalillo. He shot 8/13 from the field while leading Del Norte to a 66-52 win. The next night Thursday January 20th, he scored 18 points on 7/12 shooting vs Albuquerque Academy. Del Norte defeated Albuquerque Academy 68-62 to start district at 2-0.
Javier Mendoza Javier Mendoza 5'11" | SG Atrisco Heritage | 2022 State NM – 6’1 Forward “Atrisco Heritage” Class of 2022
Javier Mendoza Javier Mendoza 5'11" | SG Atrisco Heritage | 2022 State NM led Atrisco Heritage to win their district opener on the road vs Rio Rancho this past Thursday January 20th. He was the best player on the court from the start and ended the night with 16 points and finished 7/9 from the free throw line. Atrisco Heritage defeated Rio Rancho 57-48 and improved to 14-2 this season.
Jakwon Hill Jakwon Hill 6'1" | CG Volcano Vista | 2022 State NM – 6’0 Shooting Guard “Volcano Vista” Class of 2022
Jakwon Hill Jakwon Hill 6'1" | CG Volcano Vista | 2022 State NM helped Volcano Vista win their season opener this past Tuesday January 18th. He scored 22 points in the game and made 4 three pointers. Volcano Vista defeated Cleveland 73-45. Volcano Vista is currently 2-0 vs District and 18-0 this season overall.
Quincy Connor- 6’3 Forward “Lordsburg” Class of 2022
Quincy Connor had a pair of good games this week. This past Tuesday January 18th, he scored 34 points on 13/27 shooting from the field and 6/10 from three point range in a 81-45 win vs Animas. Later this past week he had another great game this past Saturday January 22nd. He recorded a double-double vs Hot Springs and had 22 points and 11 rebounds in the 57-49 win. This team is now 10-2 this season.
Jose Murillo Jose Murillo 6'8" | C Highland | 2022 State NM – 6’9 Center “Highland” Class of 2022
This past Wednesday January 19th Jose Murillo Jose Murillo 6'8" | C Highland | 2022 State NM had a nice performance vs Manzano. In the 64-42 win, he scored 24 points on 11/14 shooting and grabbed 9 rebounds. His play has helped Highland currently sit at a 11-3 record this season.
Noah Gershon- 5’9 Guard “Clovis Christian” Class of 2023
This past Tuesday January 18th, Noah Gershon led Clovis Christian to a 74-30 win vs Grady. He scored a season high 41 points on 15/27 shooting from the field, 7/10 from three point range and 4/5 from free throws. Clovis Christian is now 12-3 this season.
Jalen Goar Jalen Goar 5'11" | CG Hobbs | 2022 State NM – 6’0 Guard “Hobbs” Class of 2022
Jalen Goar Jalen Goar 5'11" | CG Hobbs | 2022 State NM helped lead Hobbs to a 95-61 victory over Lovington this past Tuesday January 18th. He scored 32 points on 19/34 shooting from the field, 7/12 from three point range and grabbed 7 rebounds. His play all season has helped Hobbs get to 18-2 this season.
Aaron Mora Aaron Mora 6'6" | PF Hobbs | 2022 State NM – 6’6 Center “Hobbs” Class of 2022
Hobbs big man Aaron Mora Aaron Mora 6'6" | PF Hobbs | 2022 State NM had a near perfect game this past Tuesday January 18th. He scored 22 points on 11/11 shooting from the field. He also had a double-double with 12 rebounds in the game to lead Hobbs to a 95-61 victory vs Lovington.
Travis Henderson- Forward “Tularosa” Class of 2022
Travis Henderson had a solid performance this past Wednesday January 19th vs Magdalena. He scored 29 points on 9/19 shooting from the field and 6/11 from three point range. They defeated Magdalena 67-56 to improve to 14-2 this season.
Jonah Lopez Jonah Lopez 6'2" | SG Rio Grande | 2023 State NM – 6’2 Forward “Rio Grande” Class of 2023
Rio Grande star Jonah Lopez Jonah Lopez 6'2" | SG Rio Grande | 2023 State NM led Rio Grande to a close victory vs Manzano 61-60 this past Friday January 21st. He scored a game high 30 points and went 10/12 from the free throw line. He had an all around game with 12 rebounds and 7 assists in the game. Rio Grande is now 2-0 in district this season.
Noah Reese Noah Reese 6'3" | SF Goddard | 2022 State NM – 6’2 Power Forward “Goddard” Class of of 2022
Goddard big man Noah Reese Noah Reese 6'3" | SF Goddard | 2022 State NM has a solid performance this past Thursday January 20th vs Clovis. He recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds in the 53-44 win vs Clovis.
Sean Johnson Sean Johnson 6'6" | SF Sandia | 2022 State NM – 6’6 Forward “Sandia” Class of 2022
Sean Johnson Sean Johnson 6'6" | SF Sandia | 2022 State NM had a solid performance this past Tuesday January 18th vs Farmington. He scored a team high 18 points on 8/15 shooting from the field. He also grabbed 8 rebounds in the game to help Sandia win their 6th straight game. In four games this season, he is averaging 20 points per game and 8.3 rebounds per game on 60% field goal shooting.
