It’s a limited sample as we are only halfway through one season and no doubt things will change. But with that all in mind, here’s how we broke it down.
1) Jalen Atkins Jalen Atkins 6'2" | SG Barlow | 2025 State OR (2025 Barlow)
It was originally thought that Atkins wouldn’t play until January as he was healing from a foot injury, but the 6-foot-1 freshman made his debut at the Les Schwab Invitational and made a splash. He simply knows how to score the basketball and while he does it at all three levels, what might most be lethal is his pull-up jumper. He’s already Barlow’s leading scorer at 16.5 ppg at the midway mark.
2) Winters Grady Winters Grady 6'7" | SF Prolific Prep | 2025 #118 Nation CA-N (2025 Lake Oswego)
Grady started off a little slow but has quickly emerged into Lake Oswego’s top weapon on the offensive end. While his 6-foot-6 and sturdy frame would traditionally be a post at the high school level, he’s largely been playing on the perimeter, showing off a sweet outside jumper and the ability to create off the dribble. He was an All-Tournament selection at the LSI and currently leads LO in scoring at 14.6 ppg.
3) Brayden Boe Brayden Boe 6'5" | CG Mountainside | 2025 State #254 Nation OR (2025 Mountainside)
Boe has been in the starting lineup from day one for Mountainside and the 6-foot-3 swingman has done a little bit of everything for the Mavericks. He’s been able to show the ability to guard multiple positions on the defensive end, and on offense, he has been scoring both inside and out while being one of Mountainside’s top assist men.
4) Boden Howell Boden Howell 6'3" | CG South Medford | 2025 State #394 Nation ID (2025 South Medford)
We have only seen Howell on the stream so far this season but we knew enough about the 6-foot-3 guard from AAU ball with the Oregon Prospects. He’s extremely skilled, can really shoot the ball, and plays with a confidence of an upperclassman. He’s been a key player for the Panthers so far this season with his diverse perimeter game.
5) Isaac Carr Isaac Carr 6'3" | CG Central Catholic | 2025 State #75 Nation OR (2025 Central Catholic)
There are some good shooters in this top five but Carr may be the best. The 6-foot-3 freshman showed some of his skill with big threes against Barlow in a recent conference matchup and he hit a huge one late that helped the Rams pull out the win. Carr can not only hit threes but hit them with a hand in his face.
