We’ve taken 2 looks at some of the players that were mentioned.
We don’t want to leave any player out that deserves to see their name on paper, so here is Part 3 of our look at under the radar players that are making themselves seen.
Jalen Awosika Jalen Awosika 6'1" | SG St. Clair Shores Lake Shore | 2022 State MI (2022, SG, St. Clair Shores Lake Shore)
Awosika is a rising prospect in Michigan. He’s definitely proved his worth so far this season. Awosika has come up big in some pretty big games and has proved to be a tough cover.
Evan Booker Evan Booker PG Saginaw Arthur Hill | 2022 State MI (2022, CG, Arthur Hill)
Booker can score and dish, and is willing to do whichever his team needs. He’s a fast guard that can score from multiple levels. Booker can bury a 3 if given a bit of space and can finish at the rim with finesse.
M’khi Guy (2024, CG, Muskegon)
Guy has a lot going for him as a basketball player. From what I hear, he’s a solid leader and role model around his basketball team. Guy is a terrific all around athlete with good horizontal hip movement.
Jalen Jackson Jalen Jackson 5'7" | PG Lakeshore | 2022 State MI (2022, PG, St. Clair Shores Lake Shore)
Jackson is a shifty floor general that can make plays for himself or his teammates. He’s been terrific so far this season. Jackson has matched up and more than held his own against some top competition.
Jack Locey (2023, PG, Goodrich)
Locey has been asked to step up and play a much bigger role this season and he has more than responded. He’s a dangerous 3 point shooter and can almost be counted on to hi a couple every game. Locey is a plus defender as well, coming down in the lane and swiping the ball when his opponent puts it at their waist.
Tyree Long (2023, CG, Pontiac)
Long is quick with the dribble, preferring to push the pace and pressure the defense. He’s shown some scoring punch and could a dangerous player from here on out.
Nathan Lott Nathan Lott 6'1" | PG Webberville | 2022 State MI (2024, PG, Webberville)
Lott has a lot of ways that he can get off his dangerous jumper. He can pullup quickly and has a nice spin move into a step back jumper. Lott is a true 3 level scorer that’s a constant threat on offense.
Payton Marbut (2024, SG, Bangor)
Marbut is a name that we could get familiar with in due time. He’s a steady guard that has a solid jumper. Marbut could make some noise over the next couple of years.
Markel Martin Markel Martin 6'2" | SG Saginaw Arthur Hill | 2022 State MI (2022, CG, Arthur Hill)
Martin is a good old fashioned grinder. He can get buckets at all 3 levels and is shifty going to the rim. Martin can be creative on his finishes and definitely has upside as a prospect.
Jelani McGregor Jelani McGregor 6'3" | SF Phillips | 2023 State IL (2023, PG, Hammond Central – IN)
McGregor is a true bucket getter. He does an great job at finessing looks at the rim and delivering once he gets them. McGregor can play at a high speed and is a solid finisher with his right.
Collin Miller Collin Miller 6'0" | PG Marlette | 2022 State MI (2022, PG, Marlette)
Miller has taken his game to a whole new level this season. He has shown in the gym range, even knocking down 10 straight triples in a game this season. It feels like he’s taking off as a player and the future is very bright.
Davon Pearson (2022 CG, St. Clair Shores Lake Shore)
Pearson is definitely an underrated player on the perimeter. He can get hot offensively and change the tone of the game. Pearson plays with a lot of grit and toughness as well.
AJ Pierre-Jerome AJ Pierre-Jerome 6'9" | PF Montverde Academy FL | 2023 FL (2023, PF, Montverde Academy – FL)
Pierre-Jerome is a talented forward with definite upside. He’s shifty on 2 dribble drives to the rim and is a very bouncy athlete. Pierre-Jerome finishes with authority above the rim.
Cade Wallacker (2025, PG, Essexville Garber)
First of all, Wallacker can shoot the ball and has definite rang extending beyond the 3 point line. He has a ton of balance and body control on the dribble drive which helps him make tough shots look easy.
Tavion Willis Tavion Willis 6'0" | PG South Lake | 2022 State MI (2022, CG, South Lake)
No matter what the matchup may be, Willis tends to have his speed as an advantage. His straight line speed is terrific and he can maintain it when the ball is on his hands.
