Stewart is a player that you will not see mentioned in every article when referring to this youthful talented team, however, I know every scouting report he is a point of emphasis. Stewart is a lanky forward that has an impressive jumping ability. He is not going to be your primary scorer, although Stewart brings a unique quality to his team that can be infectious. It’s his hustle, he has a knack for when to reach on smaller defenders and he also is a well-known shot blocker. With some development with his footwork and he continues to improve on his patience on both sides of the floor he can become a reliable defender at the next level.
Sean Rose Sean Rose 6'6" | PF Charlotte Latin | 2023 State NC (6’6 Stretch Wing) Charlotte Latin (2023)
Rose is a hybrid player that cannot be categorized under one of the original five positions because of his upside and the possibility of him not being done growing. Playing a dominant inside and outside presence for a Hawks team that is fueled off of his veracity constantly in the game. Rose is an athletic wing that loves to finish above the rim, he has a good knack for blocking shots when players are coming towards him downhill. He is an impressive three-point shooter with good hands with an above-average IQ. Rose and the Hawks plan on staying undefeated on the road with Rose leading the charge throughout the conference.
Maurio Hanson Maurio Hanson 6'7" | PF JL Chambers | 2024 State NC ( 6’7 Power Forward) Chambers High (2024)
Hanson has been the perfect addition beside South Carolina commit Daniel Sanford Daniel Sanford 6'8" | PF JL Chambers | 2022 State NC . Hanson is still becoming a true big man, he already has some comfortability with his back to the basket. His constant activity on the boards because of his size is where he gets a lot of his points. Second-chance points are essential for the fast-paced Chambers team. He has the potential to become an elite rebounder if he works on his positioning under the basket. Hanson’s upside is seen when he has games like he had against the Lions of West Charlotte early this week with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
McKaskill Rivers (6’7 Power Forward) East Gaston (2023)
Rivers is a rim-running big man that is active constantly around the rim. A coach’s dream when it comes to a player that understands when to be aggressive and how to establish his presence at the rim. Multiple 20 points and 12 or more rebound games this season. Rivers is scoring a lot of his points because of his activity around the rim. The next step in his game will be him stretching the floor and continuing to become a consistent shooter so the defense has to adapt how they defend him as well.
Teyachta Harris (6’5 Stretch Forward) East Rowan (2023)
Harris is a kid I will not be surprised if his name becomes a familiar name within the 2023 class. Harris has good size and is a steady player that stays composed with good footwork. He’s patient and he has an underrated mid-range shot, contested or uncontested. He can become an above-average defender if he learns how to use his size and not go for every block. He potentially could take one of the biggest jumps within the rankings if he finishes this season’s song with the Mustangs. He averages 15 points and 14 rebounds, he has the potential to become one of the most dominant players in his conference.
