Top Performance
Elijah Brooks Elijah Brooks 6'3" | CG Topeka West | 2022 State KS , 6’4 W, Topeka West, 2022: After averaging over 30 ppg over three games over top competition in the TIT Tournament en route to a title, Brooks backed it up dropping 43 points over another top 10 opponent in Junction City. Brooks turns great defense into instant offense better than most, and has been living in transition and up at the rim over the last month of hoops. Hit a clutch step back three as well, and is scoring in the mid range game as well. He continues to tighten his grip over the Centennial Player of the Year Award.
Performers of Note
Zane Novotney, 5’11 G, Togonoxie, 2022: Had a 6 three point game earlier in the year, but last night he upped the ante by knocking down 8 threes in a win over Heritage Christian and scoring a career high 30 points. A very tough guard on the floor, moves well without the ball, always in ready to shoot it, and can get hot fast. A top tier shooter.
Jack Lauer, 6’2 G, Marysville, 2023: A strong bodied guard who plays with toughness and has a great looking jumper erupted for one of his best games on the season dropping 28 points in a really solid win. He is an underrated rebounding guard as well and can crash hard as he grabbed 4 rebounds last night. Lauer has continued to up his game throughout the season.
Nakari Morrical-Palmer, 6’3 G, Southeast of Saline, 2023: One of the better up and coming guards in the class of 2023. Has become a really good solid option for Southeast to go along with Sawyer. Morrical-Palmer is really strong with the ball, gets into the painted area, and makes a ton of plays. Last night he put it all together dropping 20 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dished out 6 assists.
Trey Moala Trey Moala 6'7" | PF Paola | 2022 State KS , 6’6 W, Paola, 2022 (Pictured): Moala has added another mile stone to his storied career by surpassing the 1,000 point mark by having another 20 point ball game last night. Super versatile player who logged in minutes last night basically playing all 5 positions. Picked up from Allen CC to go along with some other really solid offers. A big time 2022 wing play who continues to produce.
Tyler Hobrock, 6’3 F, Concordia, 2022: A strong and well footed forward out at Concordia who is a near double double per game machine. Had a monster 26 points last night for Concordia. He controls the painted area on both sides of the floor, very active as well. Finishes with both hands, attacks with a purpose on the bounce, and finishes off on dump downs.
Skyler Clevenger Skyler Clevenger 6'1" | SG Andover Central | 2022 State KS , 6’2 G, Andover Central, 2022: A smooth operator in the back court who continues to get better and better throughout the season and it’s no coincidence that Central continues to creep up the rankings as Clevenger has started to crank it up. Last night he dropped 23 points nearly doubling his season average of 12.4 points per game. Really can get it going from the perimeter, guards really hard, and is smooth on the offensive end.
