(listed alphabetically)
Sol Byles Sol Byles 6'3" | CG Newberg | 2022 State OR , Newberg – The Tigers have struggled a bit in the win/loss column but one guy that has been consistent has been Byles. You can always count on the 6-foot-3 combo guard to score in double figures and he’s been rock solid in that department at 16.5 ppg. He’s a good shooter that’s capable of creating his own shot and finishing through contact.
Jon Breyman, West Salem – Breyman was the MVP of the Capitol City Classic. He’s got a college-ready body and runs the point for the Titans with coolness and confidence. He operates well under pressure, gets his teammates involved, and while not a huge scorer, hits big shots when they are needed.
Enzo Chimienti, Wilsonville – Another standout from the Capitol City Classic was Chimienti, who is the latest senior to shine at Wilsonville. The 6-foot guard isn’t afraid to challenge bigger players on both ends of the floor and does a good job of taking what the defense gives him. High-academic with a GPA over 4.0.
Sawyer Heald, Lincoln – While most of the attention has been on Lincoln’s size and incoming transfers, Heald has been a rock-solid returnee. The 6-foot-1 guard’s role has largely been to spot up on the wing and bust zones, but in addition to hitting open threes he’s also been steady with his passing and hustle on the defensive end.
Henry Pointer Henry Pointer 6'2" | CG Lebanon | 2022 State OR , Lebanon – We don’t have all of the data but it would surprise us if Pointer isn’t among the 5A scoring leaders at over 20 points per game. The 6-foot-1 combo guard has deep range and has the ability to score at all three levels, despite often being the main target of opposing defenses.
Philip Rosenfeld Philip Rosenfeld 6'6" | PF Beaverton | 2022 State OR , Beaverton – After backing up Dane Erikstrup last season, Rosenfeld has risen to starting in the post and has had some big moments. The 6-foot-6 senior has been tough in the lane and spotting up for mid-range jumpers, while also showing some nice ability with his interior passing.
Jay’Vanni Sarchi, David Douglas – Sarchi may be a bit undersized at 6-foot-2, but thanks to his length and bounciness he plays much bigger than his height. He’s been very good around the hoop for the Scots and can really finish in transition. His face-up jumper is solid, which shows the potential he has to move out more to the perimeter.
