Yoro Diallo Yoro Diallo 6'7" | PF Moeller | 2022 State OH , 6’7 PF Moeller 2022: Diallo is an intriguing prospect who is playing his first season of varsity basketball for Moeller this season. Diallo is intriguing in warmups with his size and wingspan. Another aspect I like about his game is his mobility and quick feet that comes from his background in soccer. I’m planning on checking out Diallo for the first time this season tomorrow, when the Crusaders take on rival Elder.
De’Antre Griffin De’Antre Griffin 6'6" | PF Western Hills | 2022 State OH , 6’6 PF Western Hills 2022: Griffin has had a GREAT season for Western Hills. After scoring 9.1 PPG, Griffin is up to 15.9 this season and is averaging a double double. Griffin is a highflyer who does his most damage in transition. An area where Griffin has really improved is his shooting ability, he’s already made 21 3-pointers this season compared to nine as a Junior. Western Hills is also having more team success this season, sitting at 8-3 with their only losses coming in the championship of a holiday tournament and to rivals Elder and Taft.
Trace Bishko Trace Bishko 5'10" | PG Brush | 2022 State OH , 5’10 PG Brush 2022: Bishko has stepped up and ran the offense for a Brush squad loaded with talent across the board. Bishko knows his role on the team and does a good job of making plays for others and getting the stars the ball in the right situations. I think Bishko has a bit more scoring talent than what he’s usually allowed to show with Brush, as some of his creation moves with the basketball are pretty impressive. Bishko is making the most of his opportunity and has aspirations of playing in big time playoff games for the Arcs this March.
Rico Pickett Rico Pickett 6'1" | SG Walsh Jesuit | 2022 State OH , 6’1 SG Walsh Jesuit 2022: Pickett was a top performer from the Capital City Coaches for a Cure Classic despite his team coming up short. Pickett is a play finisher for a Walsh Jesuit team that moves the ball very well around the perimeter. Pickett is one of the more productive guards in northeast Ohio and playing a major role for a Walsh Jesuit team that’s picked up some solid wins the past couple seasons.
Gio Roberts Gio Roberts 6'2" | SG Hilliard Darby | 2022 State OH , 6’2 SG Hilliard Darby 2022: Roberts is an athletic off-guard that impressed me with his slashing ability with Hilliard Darby when I saw him in December. Roberts needs to carry a large offensive load and is scoring 13 PPG this season. Roberts can play either guard position at the next level and has the tools to be a solid defensive player from the jump.
