The semifinals had two match-ups between #1 Volcano Vista and #4 Cleveland (Rio Rancho). The other match-up was # 2 La Cueva and #3 Atrisco Heritage.
Jakwon Hill Jakwon Hill 6'1" | CG Volcano Vista | 2022 State NM – 6’0 Shooting Guard “Volcano Vista” Class of 2022
Jakwon Hill Jakwon Hill 6'1" | CG Volcano Vista | 2022 State NM and the number #1 Volcano Vista Hawks came out with a 76-58 victory over the number #4 Cleveland Storm in the Metro semifinals. He scored a game high 29 points in the game and made 4 three pointers. He set the tone in the game and helped Volcano Vista catch an early lead by scoring 16 in the first half. He also finished 7/7 from the free throw line. The Volcano Vista Hawks will face #3 Atrisco Heritage in the Metro Championship Saturday January 8th.

He had two and ones in this game and was a beast defensively blocking shots at the rim. They defeated #4 Cleveland 76-58 in the semifinals. His play helped #1 Volcano advance to the Metro Championship Saturday January 8th vs #3 Atrisco Heritage.

They defeated the Storm 76-58 and Kaden had put his finger prints all over this game. He made a pair of three pointers in the game and scored 10 of his 15 points in the second half to help Volcano Vista pull away with the victory. His play helped #1 Volcano Vista advance to the Metro Championship Saturday January 8th vs #3 Atrisco Heritage.

He scored 10 points in the game, had several nice assists to set up his teammates. He showed a lot of heart and leadership in this game that doesn’t always show up in the box scores. In a physical and intense game, Tony took several hits and shots to his body and kept getting up. He didn’t want to leave the game or get subbed out until he heard the final buzzer at the end of the game. Tony had the heart of a champion last night and that’s why Atrisco Heritage advanced to the Metro Championship to face #1 Volcano Vista Saturday January 8th.
