The event features teams from Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, Maryland, Ohio, Georgia and Massachusetts, and has a host of nationally ranked players as well as underrated guys who will get a chance to prove themselves.
We will preview the event in a number of ways, including some of the committed players, available 2022 prospects and some of the top 2023 prospects in the event.
Here’s a look at part two of the available 2022 players from Virginia and Maryland.
You can watch the entire event this weekend here on the CBG Live Network.
Kent King | 6’5” WF | FUMA
King has been a huge part of the success FUMA has seen this year, as the DC native has put up big numbers and continually got the job done on both ends of the floor. He’s a walking mismatch with his ability to put it on the deck and get in the lane where he can make plays for himself and others, he can make shots from all over the floor and he’s a very good rebounder for his position as well.
Kris King | 6’5” WF | FUMA
Kent’s twin brother is very similar to him, as they both have similar skill sets at their size and find ways to make plays on both ends of the floor. King is a defensive stopper who can guard almost every position on the floor, he’s a very good playmaker off the bounce and he can work off the ball to get open and make shots and he plays with a great motor and makes winning plays for his team.
Jacob Rice Jacob Rice 6'7" | SF Miller School | 2022 State VA | 6’7” PF | Miller School
Rice is one of the more underrated high school players in the western part of VA, as he is a versatile forward who impacts the game in so many different ways. At 6’7” he can step out and shoot it from deep and from the midrange, he can play in transition both with the ball in his hands and running the floor and he’s a switchable defender who can guard multipole positions.
RJ Luis | 6’6” WF | Mt. Zion Prep
Luis is a very intriguing wing out of Florida that has helped Mt. Zion to a national ranking this season, and he’s the type of player that can simply flat out fill it up. At 6’6” he has good size to get to spots and make contested shots from the midrange, he’s an athletic finisher above the rim and he can knock it down from deep both off the catch and off the bounce.
Elijah Jones Elijah Jones 6'8" | C Mt. Zion Prep | 2022 State MD | 6’9” PF | Mt. Zion Prep
Jones has really developed over the past few years, as he has a mix of strength, athleticism and a budding skill set that makes him very productive. He plays with a great motor on both ends of the floor, he’s an intimidating presence in the paint as an above the rim finisher and rim protector and he can both rebound and play in the paint but he can also run the floor and play in transition too.
Mason McBride | 6’5” WF | Mt. Zion Prep
McBride is one of a number of long and skilled wings on the Mt. Zion team that coaches should take a look at if they’re in need of one. He’s an athletic wing who thrives in transition with his finishing ability, he can knock down shots consistently from deep and he has good size and strength on the defensive end as well.
