Joe Francis Joe Francis 6'4" | SG Adrian | 2022 State MI (2022, SG, Adrian)
Francis’ name keeps coming up in my articles and there’s a lot of good reasons why. He has saved his best for last, absolutely exploding offensively during his senior season. I’ve said it one and I’ll say it again: Francis has a serious case for being a finalist for Mr. Basketball this season. He has in the gym range on his jumper. Francis can bury a triple off the dribble as well as on a catch and shoot. He can also hit a shot with a hand in his face and a defender closing out has basically no impact on his stroke or his focus. His jumper shoots out of his hand like a laser and almost punishes the net on it’s way through. I won’t be surprised if we see him lighting up the scoreboard at the next level as well.
Kyler Vanderjagt Kyler Vanderjagt 6'4" | 195 lbs | SF Northview | 2022 State MI (2022, SG, Northview)
I remember watching Vanderjaagt at the Prep Hoops Michigan Top 250 at the fall of his freshman year. Everyone knew right then that this young man was a star in the making. All those years ago, the 1000 point mark seemed almost inevitable. Vanderjaagt is a true 3 level scorer that can drill a 3 pointer as well as go 1 on 1 and attack the rim against even the best of defenders. He’s a strong athlete that can shrug off contact on his way to the rim. Vanderjaagt can finish however he needs to, either with either power or flare. He brings a youthful exuberance to the gym and that greatly increases his value as a teammate and leader. Vanderjaagt will be off to Belmont University after high school. Honestly, it wouldn’t surprise me if in a few years from now, we’re hearing about him hitting the 1000 point mark in Nashville.
