Ramsey’s Week 8 Player Evaluations

Another week of Indiana High School Basketball is in the books. Let’s take a look back at some of the players I had the chance to evaluate this week.  Anthony Dancler Anthony Dancler 6'2" | SG Southport | 2023 State IN (Southport H.S. 2023): Dancler was excellent on Wednesday night in a win over Decatur Central knocking in six three-pointers on his way to a game-high 24 points. The 6’2" guard can obviously really shoot it, but also showed great body control on the way to the basket. Plays with pace off of ballscreens and is dangerous attack closeouts from the wings. Low and mid-majors need to continue recruiting the Southport junior. Garwey Dual (Carmel H.S. 2023): Dual continues to get more and more run for the Greyhounds. He is a long, athletic, 6’5" wing with good ball handling ability that can really get out and run in transition. His length and athleticism are useful on the glass and defensively as well. Good looking shooting stroke. Intriguing prospect to keep an eye on. Nickens Lemba Nickens Lemba 6'6" | C Southport | 2023 State IN (Southport H.S. 2023): The 6’7" forward is very active on both ends of the floor. Lemba plays with a great motor, rebounds outside of his area, and has a lot of potential as a rim protector. Offensively he uses his quick feet and athleticism to score it in the post. Showed the ability to make short, quick right hand drives as well. Low-major 4/5 man. Sam Orme Sam Orme 6'8" | SF Carmel | 2023 State #261 Nation IN (Carmel H.S. 2023): It is no surprise that college coaches everywhere love this 6’8" sharpshooter. Orme is well known at this point for his elite catch-and-shoot ability, but he continues to showoff other improvements to his game. He is more athletic than he gets credit for, has the ability to attack closeouts off the dribble, and is a good team defender. Orme is a high-major prospect. Jaron Tibbs Jaron Tibbs 6'4" | SF Cathedral | 2023 State IN (Cathedral H.S. 2023): Tibbs has quietly been one of Cathedral’s most consistent contributors this season. The 6’4" athletic wing is averaging 11.4 points and 6.0 rebounds per game for the Irish. He had 15 points and 9 rebounds against Carmel on Wednesday night. Tibbs is great in transition, is excellent attacking the basket off of the bounce, and is a versatile defender. K.J. Windham K.J. Windham 6'1" | PG Ben Davis | 2024 State IN (Ben Davis H.S. 2024): Windham is very skilled lefty guard that took Ben Davis on an 11-game winning streak before falling in the Marion County Tournament championship game. The 6’3" guard is a pure scorer that can get it done from all three levels. Excellent three-point shooter both off the catch and off the dribble. Has a high-major ceiling.
