Not too many prospects like Nick that can just shake defenders from all over the floor. He is a player that needs to be marked and high in the court. The problem is he is quick and can change directions abruptly and hit you with a jumper. He has a killer spin back that he can hit jumpers off in the mid-range and when teams switch he changes directions to get by defenders and he has off balance and wrong foot finishes that just catch defenders off guard. To top it off he is shooting the ball really well. This 2022 PG’s is nice and he has game.
6’0 PG Quentin Meza Quentin Meza 6'0" | PG Cyprus | 2023 State UT || Cyprus High School || 2023 ||
Quentin has been scoring in bunches as of late which is somewhat expected of him, but his play isn’t always captured on the stat sheet. Quentin pulled down 11 rebounds today as he was hauling them in on both ends of the floor. That is a testament to his smart play and high motor on both ends of the floor. Quentin is smooth with the ball and he has some of the best counters to defenders you will see out there. To add to his smooth offensive game and his rebounding knack, the kid has elite vision, giving up the ball early and finding the open man at will. Kid nearly had a triple-double tonight. Look for him to get one this year.
6’0 PG Yorgio Golesis Yorgio Golesis 5'10" | SG Skyline | 2023 State UT || Skyline High School || 2023 ||
It’s all about transformation with this prospect as he has turned into a solid all-around PG that can score form the outside when he needs to and he can simply score buckets from the mid-range and getting to the rim. This 2023 PG will continue to bolster his stock as a rising junior as he continues to play at a high level.
6’5 G Chudi Anosike Chudi Anosike 6'5" | CG Murray | 2023 State UT || Murray High School || 2023 ||
There are a few players out there that get things to click and they never look back after that happens. This is what we are seeing with the talented guard Chudi. He is just playing at another level right now. Chudi posted a 38 spot and he is one of the best scorers in the state. The kid is blowing up and his recruiting should start picking up as well.
6’3 G Hunter Hansen Hunter Hansen 6'4" | PG Fremont | 2024 State UT || Fremont High School || 2024 ||
Hunter is a young scorer that can get hot in a hurry. He plays at his own pace and he lite it up for 5 three-pointers last night. Hunter has that smooth and well paced game. He is never in a rush and he knows how to get to his spots.
5’11 G Cooper Lewis Cooper Lewis 6'1" | PG Lehi | 2024 State UT || Lehi High School || 2024 ||
Copper is starting to really put people on notice with his shooting ability. He is doing it with range and he is doing it often. Copper could really be a player that can get hot and shock a team with his shooting ability as he is posting some nice numbers.
