While there were numerous top 100 recruits across all classes. I’m going to focus on some players that might be a little off the radar (except one for different reasons)
Christian Humphrey-Rembert 6-8 2024 La Lumiere Prep (IN) As a Michigan based writer I have been familiar with prospect since he was a middle schooler. The pshysical gifts are always readily apparent. Extremely long with excellent lateral quickness will always allow him to be high level defender. Like all young players his offense needs to develop and catch up with the defensive attributes. I wondered how this pace of growth might altered with his transfer to a national prep school power. After Thursday’s games I would say the answer is the development has been sped up considerably. With the presence of Kebba Njie (Penn St) and Chisom Okpara (Harvard) he no longer needs to play in the post. Emerging ball skills could see him develop into a wing. Showed a quick second jump in following his own to get a bucket. The future is extremely bright for this prospect with a huge upside.
Mike Williams Mike Williams 6'3" | CG Bishop Walsh | 2023 State #141 Nation MD 6-3 2023 Bishop Walsh (MD) Not listed in the program and is recent transfer to the school. With the common name had to reach into the metal archives to remember this guard with multiple offers already. Highly competitve and got into a back and forth with Keyonte George (Baylor). The highest ranked 2022 prospect in the field. Earned three steals from his heavy on ball pressure. Also shot it well and snagged eight rebounds. Kept his team in it for most of the night against IMG Academy and finished with 20 points.
Coen Carr Coen Carr 6'4" | SF Dutchtown | 2023 State #77 Nation GA 6-7 2023 Legacy Early College (SC) (pictured at top of article) Extreme high level explosion at the rim was story of this athletic wings game. Had more than one impressive flush in the second half of his teams loss to the host squad. Did not need much runway for lift off. Competed hard defensively all game despite the wide margin of the contest. Has been Legacy’s top player during league play. Is a top ten NIBC scorer averaging 15 points per game. Finished with a team high 12 on Thursday. Has the athletic upside to be a top 100 recruit. Improvement on his perimeter shot is the next step in his development. Getting national attention on the NIBC stage will aid this cause.
Skyy Clark Skyy Clark 6'2" | PG Montverde Academy | 2022 State #17 Nation FL 6-3 Montverde Academy (FL) Clark is by no means an under the radar prospect. But has been a little off the scene due to a summer ACL tear. In his first action since the injury. The Kentucky commit showed little signs of rust. Playing without a knee brace and did not appear tentative at all. Tenacious defensively and showed good lateral quickness. While he appeared well physically the rust did show a little on the offensive end. Did not hit a shot from the field. But once again his aggressiveness showed out and he got to the line more than the once to finish with three points.
Bobi Klintman 6-8 2022 Sunrise Christian Academy (KS) The recent Maryland decommit came to Sunrise via Sweeden. Has the advanced and mature gave that you expect from European prospects. Moves very well on the perimeter for his size and showed a soft touch. Only played eight minutes but really felt like he made them count in the victory over Montverde. If judging by coaching representation under the basket. Might still end up in the Big Ten as multiple coaches were watching this big time contest.
