Xander Castillo – Divine Savior Academy
2022 Xander Castillo is playing extremely well for Divine Savior Academy. The 6-foot-3 guard has averaged 20.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game while shooting 52 percent from the field. Moreover, Castillo has four double-doubles on the season. He is definitely a kid on the rise as we start the new year. Castillo has helped the Sharks to a 6-1 start.
Felix Suarez – Braddock
2023 Felix Suarez has been a consistent player for the Bulldogs. The 6-foot guard is averaging 14.3 points per game while shooting 48 percent from the field through 12 games. From deep, Suarez is 21-of-53 (40 percent). Against Ferguson, he had 24 points and went 4-of-5 from long range. Suarez is also shooting 75 percent from the free-throw line. Keep an eye on this kid.
Fabian Reguero – Miami Sunset
2022 Fabian Reguero is a good point guard for Miami Sunset. The 5-foot-9 Reguero is averaging 11 points and 4.4 rebounds per game. He scored 17 points and went 8-of-14 from the floor against Ransom Everglades. Against Miami Christian, Reguero had 13 points and eight rebounds while dishing out five assists. He is a nice rebounder at the guard spot.
James Morman – Miami Killian
2022 James Morman has been a do-it-all player for Miami Killian. The 5-foot-9 point guard is averaging 10.8 points, 7.8 assists and 7.2 rebounds per game while shooting 54 percent from the field. Against Coral Springs, he scored 20 points and went 5-of-7 from deep. Killian is 8-4 overall behind him.
Randy Smith – Miami Palmetto
2024 Randy Smith has been a nice player alongside 2022 Jimel Lane Jimel Lane 6'7" | PF Palmetto | 2022 State FL . The 6-foot-3 guard is averaging 9.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.7 steals per game while shooting 48 percent from the floor. He has a pair of 14-point games against Florida Christian and South Dade. Smith is a nice defender with good size for a sophomore. He should continue to develop.
Eli Goldman – Ransom Everglades
2022 Eli Goldman has performed well for Ransom Everglades. The 6-foot guard is averaging 11.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game through 12 contests. Moreover, Goldman is 36-of-87 (41 percent) from deep. He already has five games with four or more 3-pointers made. Against Champagnat Catholic, Goldman scored 18 points and went 5-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc. He has helped the Raiders to a 10-2 record.
