The McDonald’s All-American Game will be making a return trip to Chicago this March. Over the course of 45 years, this game has featured many of the all time greats in the game of basketball. It’s a game full of prestige and an honor for each and every player nominated nationwide. Michigan has a long and storied tradition in the McDonald’s All American Game, so it was satisfying to see 5 players earn Midwest Nominations. Let’s look at the Michigan prep players that earned this nomination.

Mehki Ellison (2022, PG, Flint Carman-Ainsworth)

Ellison is enjoying an excellent senior season so far. He’s been terrific as a playmaker for his teammates when the ball is in his hands. Ellison is great at penetrating the lane, drawing the defense and finding open shooters. He’s proven to be an accurate passer when on the move. Ellison also has the ability to finish at the rim.
