January Recap: Unsigned Senior Evaluations
Unsigned seniors impressed everywhere throughout the month of January. Here is a closer look at a handful of those standouts.
Kyle Ables | guard | Potomac Falls (VA)
Ables is a quick and compact lead guard who is a difference-maker on both ends of the floor. He sets the tone defensively with relentless ball pressure in the backcourt. Offensively, Ables keeps the ball on a string and gets frequent paint touches. From there, he can score or distribute efficiently.
Sinneh Bangura | guard | WT Woodson (VA)
Bangura is a defensive ace who can be quite disruptive because of his length. He is patient with the ball offensively and uses his reach to finish over the top of defenders at the basket.
Christian Blaine | guard | Woodbridge (VA)
Blaine is a big guard who is one of the more creative passers you’ll find. He is also a strong point-of-attack defender who knows how to turn defense into offense.
Malachi Briscoe Malachi Briscoe 6'6" | PF St. Mary's Ryken | 2022 State MD | forward | St. Mary’s Ryken (MD)
Briscoe is an athletic 6-foot-6 forward who can play multiple positions. He plays with a high motor and makes impact plays on both ends with regularity as a result.
Sammy Cooley | forward | South Lakes (VA)
Cooley is a dynamic athlete who does many things well on the court. He is a threat from three and a versatile defender, but also an above-the-rim finisher.
Elijah Easter Elijah Easter 5'9" | PG Freedom South Riding | 2022 State VA | guard | Independence (VA)
Easter is one of the better all-around guard prospects you’ll find available in the DMV. He can score at all three levels, defends with tenacity, and brings the intangibles that help win games.
EJ Finney | wing | South Lakes (VA)
Finney is a downhill-type wing who plays a physical brand of basketball. He seeks contact around the rim and often powers through it.
Josiah Franklin Josiah Franklin 6'1" | CG St. Mary's Ryken | 2022 State MD | guard | St. Mary’s Ryken (MD)
Franklin is a talented and crafty guard who can put the ball in the basket. He has the ability to make those around him better with his playmaking and team-first mentality.
Dylan Hundertmark | guard | Stone Bridge (VA)
Hundertmark is quick like a cat and keeps the ball on a string. He can shoot from the perimeter but often mixes it up from the in-between areas with the use of his signature runner. Hundertmark can also be a pest defensively on the ball.
Brian Jackson | forward | Woodbridge (VA)
Jackson is a tall shot-making forward with a solid all-around game. He involves others with his passing, gets easy buckets in transition by simply running the floor, and has the strength to finish through contact.
Xavier McCrary | forward | Fairfax (VA)
Every team needs someone like McCrary. He is the type of player that does whatever it takes to win the game. If that means getting 10 rebounds, he will do that without hesitation.
Andre Pacheco | guard | WT Woodson (VA)
Pacheco has developed into a very solid two-way guard. He can play on and off the ball, both offensively and defensively. Pacheco has worked hard to improve his shot which has become a strength.
Conner Spearman | forward | Edison (VA)
Spearman brings contagious energy to the Eagles frontcourt. He is a terrific communicator and a marvelous athlete.
