Throughout week 1 he’s averaging over thirty points per contest, scoring the ball by using his athleticism and perimeter shooting ability.
Richmond County Sophomore Guard Paul McNeil Paul McNeil 6'6" | SG Richmond County | 2024 State #172 Nation NC is currently sitting at the top spot in the state and top twenty-five in the country ranking wise. He proved why he’s such a highly rated prospect and led his team to a win after a slow start against Hoke. By now we already know that he has the ability to knock down shots but his rebounding and passing were just as impressive. He finished with a game high of twenty-six points and twelve rebounds, extending the Richmond winning streak to twelve wins in a row.
Hoke County Sophomore Guard Jaylen Sturdivant Jaylen Sturdivant 6'4" | CG Hoke | 2024 State NC started off the game against Richmond hot, scoring ten points in the first quarter, which helped his team build an early lead. Although he would cool off shooting wise, he stayed aggressive and made a nice impact with his rebounding as well. Sturdivant would go on to finish the night with a team high of nineteen points and ten rebounds.
Grace Christian Junior Wing Ma’Kyi Butler Ma’Kyi Butler 6'5" | SF Grace Christian (Sanford) | 2024 State NC put together one of the better games of his career in their matchup with South Wake, dropping 41 Points in the win. He’s been productive throughout the season, averaging over 20 points per game by using his skillset and strength to make his mark on games.
Seventy-First HS Junior Guard Xavier Tubbs Xavier Tubbs 6'1" | PG Spire Institute | 2024 OH has been slowly but surely finding his way with his new squad and this week he put together one of his best performances yet. If his squad hopes to make a run at a state title, he will be a player that will be counted on to take on some of the scoring load.
