Christian Uremovich Christian Uremovich 6'5" | PF Mt. Carmel | 2024 State IL (Stevenson)
Nice game for the power forward in their opener at the Hinsdale Central tournament. Skilled four man that is crafty around the hoop with right-handed hook shots, put backs, solid passing, and and-1s.
Lee Marks Lee Marks 6'6" | SF Mt. Carmel | 2024 State IL (Homewood Flossmoor)
Very intrigued by Marks! The long and rangy wing has a lot of physical tools that scream big time prospect. Good defender both on the perimeter and blocking shots. Quick to the offensive glass and is a bouncy finisher inside. Best basketball is ahead of him!
Mike Jones Mike Jones 6'7" | PF Chi-Prep | 2025 State #164 Nation IL (Rockford Auburn)
Jones had a consistent tournament at Hinsdale Central. Well built four man that boards with the best of them in the state regardless of class. Goes after them aggressively. Also is a force on the defensive end as a switchable defender and big time shot blocker.
Jaylan McElroy Jaylan McElroy 6'7" | PF DePaul Prep | 2024 State #262 Nation IL (DePaul Prep)
McElroy is a power forward with his stock on the rise. Great frame and athleticism. Projectable long term prospect. Finishes dump offs, runs the floor, can put it on the deck a couple dribbles, and is a versatile defender.
Jaedin Reyna Jaedin Reyna 6'0" | PG Bishop Noll | 2024 State IN (St. Rita)
Reyna is the best point guard in the 2024 class and has more than proved that with his play as a sophomore. Heady floor general that when he needs to score he can. With Johnson out in their first round game he kicked up his scoring game a notch. Drained an array of threes along with getting to the rim whenever he wanted. Such an advanced passer with a high IQ.
James Brown James Brown 6'9" | C Link Academy (from Chicago) | 2024 #66 Nation MO (St. Rita)
Brown was a monster in their quarterfinal game against Homewood Flossmoor. He owned the glass while also using his elite skill around the hoop for scores on spin moves and reverse layups. Also mixed in a baseline jumper in the 19 point outing. Five-star national recruit
Morez Johnson Morez Johnson 6'9" | PF Thornton | 2024 State #33 Nation IL (St. Rita)
Johnson missed Rita’s first game, but in their contest against HF he managed 11 points while still working his way back into things. The Illini commit is a powerful finisher with his wiry frame. Mid-range jumper and scores on fluid spin moves on the block.
Nojus Indrusaitis Nojus Indrusaitis 6'5" | SG Brewster Academy | 2024 State #79 Nation NLG (Lemont)
The top wing in the sophomore class left no doubt about that with his play at Jack Tosh. In their first game against Timothy Christian he went head to head with a senior D1 wing and torched them for 32 points including 25 points in the first half. It was one of the most dominant 16 minute stretches I have seen. Indrusaitis drained an array of feathery threes, got on the glass for put backs, got loose in transition, and popped pull ups. Elite all-around offensive scoring threat.
Luke Williams Luke Williams 6'2" | PG Naperville North | 2024 State IL (Naperville North)
Williams played well in the Jack Tosh consolation championship game. Despite a wrap on his left hand he managed to make three from beyond the arc. Athletic guard that can defend on the perimeter and is a solid passer. Shows leadership skills at a young age. Went for 16 points.
Angelo Ciaravino (Mt. Carmel)
So intrigued with this young wing. Projectable small forward that is a creative ball handler who gets in the lane for runners and layups. Gets on the offensive glass for a put backs and shows some pop around the hoop.
Dekwon Brown Dekwon Brown 6'4" | PG Simeon | 2024 #273 Nation IL (Limestone)
Against Mt. Carmel this sophomore showed why we have him as a top 10 prospect in the state. Such an elite scorer that gets buckets at all three levels. Explosive ball handler that gets in the lane where he can score or as he displayed in this game dish off to teammates. Hesitation and is so shifty off the bounce. Range to well beyond the three point arc. He had 25 points.
Josh Pickett Josh Pickett 6'5" | SG St. Laurence | 2024 State #277 Nation IL (West Aurora)
Against OPRF on the final day at Pontiac Pickett showed why he is so highly regarded. Pickett is a plus shooter with a strong frame. He has shown he is effective playing both on and off the ball. Burst with it in his hands and can finish through contact on straight line takes. Emerging as a mid-major prospect.
Carlos Harris Carlos Harris 6'1" | SG Curie | 2024 State #283 Nation IL (Curie)
Harris is a strong slashing wing that is already taking on the primary scoring role for Curie. Downhill attacking guard that loves to square his shoulders and get to the cup. Powerful and explosive slasher that had a solid all-around showing at Pontiac. Streaky shooter that to max out will need to get better here. Love what he brings defensively and as a rebounding guard.
Niko Newsome Niko Newsome 6'6" | SG Normal Community | 2024 State IL (Bloomington)
Skilled and athletic two guard that can score from multiple levels. Feathery touch on the perimeter while being slippery through traffic on slashes to the rim finishing with athleticism at the cup. He had 20 points against Bloom.
Gianni Cobb Gianni Cobb 6'0" | PG Homewood Flossmoor | 2024 State IL (Bloom)
Really like what we have seen from Cobb early in the season. Wiry combo guard that brings burst off the bounce and can score with acrobatics at the cup. Mid-range J and is super quick with the rock in his hands.
Meyoh Swansey Meyoh Swansey 6'3" | SG Thornton | 2024 State IL (Romeoville)
Second look at Swansey this season. Scoring combo guard that does most of his damage off the bounce. Wins on drives and a crisp pull up game. Mixes in floaters as well. 15 points against a loaded Vashon team.
Patrick Schaller (Glenbrook North)
Schaller is a power forward that knows how to carve out space on the interior. Spin moves and finishes with efficiency. Like how he gets deep post position on the catch.
Josh Fridman (Glenbrook North)
Fridman is a smaller point guard that runs his team at a high level. Crisp passer that is quick off the dribble. Does a nice job of picking his spots to score using his quickness while also running his squad.
Jeffery Fleming (Plainfield North)
Fleming made quite an impression in their opener against Simeon as he went for 16 points in the loss. The 6’2” shooting guard scored the majority of his points in the paint with crafty finishes along with hitting a sidestep three.
