Jorden Brooks Jorden Brooks 6'3" | SF Grand Rapids Catholic Central | 2022 State MI (2022, SF, Grand Rapids Catholic Central)
Brooks doesn’t play the game for the accolades or the fancy trophies. He plays because he loves the game. It just so happens that he’s really good at it. Brooks is a physically strong player that can hit big shots and make big plays.
Jalen Jackson Jalen Jackson 5'7" | PG Lakeshore | 2022 State MI (2022, PG, St. Clair Shores Lake Shore)
It doesn’t matter if it’s a scrimmage or a state championship game, Jalen Jackson Jalen Jackson 5'7" | PG Lakeshore | 2022 State MI is coming with everything that he has. Every game matters to him and you can see it in his game. College coaches, don’t let height deter you, because he can flat out play ball.
Kobe Kambestad Kobe Kambestad 5'11" | PG West Catholic | 2022 State MI (2022, PG, West Catholic)
You can just see how much it matters to him when Kambestad hits the floor. He’ll battle no matter what the score is or who the competition is. Kambestad just wants to compete and improve. Kambestad is the type of leader that programs rely on.
Elvis Machul Jr. (2022, PG, Saginaw Arthur Hill)
It’s just in his DNA. Machul is the kind of player that really earns everything that he has or will accomplish. He enjoys showing up to work and getting better, even when no one is watching.
Gryphon Mayes Gryphon Mayes 6'6" | PF Pinckney | 2022 State MI (2022, PF, Pinckney)
Mayes seems to just love the process. He likes to show up in high pressure venues and big events like the Prep Hoops Top 250 and the Flight Hankamp Open Runs. Mayes doesn’t just show up, but he shows out as well. His length and mid range games are legitimate weapons.
Jake Slezinger Jake Slezinger 6'3" | SG Gibraltar Carlson | 2022 State MI (2022, SG, Gibraltar Carlson)
Slezinger is the type of player that takes every opportunity to improve, be seen, and to just play basketball. I literally saw him everywhere this fall. He attended every single Flight Hankamp Open Run. Slezinger is an underrated athlete a plus shooter off the wing.
Kyler Vanderjagt Kyler Vanderjagt 6'4" | 195 lbs | SF Northview | 2022 State MI (2022, SG, Northview)
Vanderjagt has an obvious love for the game of basketball. He’s the type of player that you can just tell, thoroughly enjoys being out on the court. Vanderjagt has turned a love for the game into something very special. Both a state title and a Mr. Basketball are within reach.
