Along with the usual matchups in the Indianapolis area, there are also a couple of high-profile games in Fort Wayne this evening. Let’s dive on in and preview six games that you should follow on the Indiana High School Basketball scene tonight.
Brownsburg @ Fishers
Brownsburg is quietly putting together a nice season while mostly relying on younger guys. The Bulldogs are 9-5 after winning the Hendricks County Tournament and their five losses come by just a combined 17 points, including two in overtime. They will take on a hungry Fishers squad who is coming off an overtime loss to Pike last Friday. If you haven’t made it out to see freshman phenom Jalen Haralson Jalen Haralson 6'7" | PG La Lumiere | 2025 #8 Nation IN yet, you need to do so. The 6’6″ guard is averaging 16.7 points per game for the Tigers.
Fort Wayne Snider @ Homestead
Fans who enjoy watching good offense should make their way to Homestead this evening. Snider is the third highest scoring team in the state averaging 75.8 points per game. The Panthers are 7-2 on the year led by a dynamic backcourt duo of Karson Jenkins Karson Jenkins 6'1" | PG Fort Wayne Snider | 2022 State IN (26.9 points per game) and Aidan Lambert Aidan Lambert 6'3" | SG Snider | 2022 State IN (24.3 points per game). North Central @ Southport
The first Marion County Tournament semi-final this evening features 8-3 North Central and 7-5 Southport, winners of six straight. Anthony Dancler Anthony Dancler 6'2" | SG Southport | 2023 State IN is coming off of a 24-point performance against Decatur Central in the quarterfinals while the Panthers took down Brebeuf Jesuit by four points. Senior forward David Lloyd David Lloyd 6'4" | SF Indianapolis North Central | 2022 State IN is having a really nice season for NC.
Ben Davis vs. Pike (@Southport)
This is probably the most anticipated game in the state this evening as it has two of the hottest teams in Indiana facing off. Ben Davis comes in having won 10 straight after blowing out Lawrence North and Park Tudor to reach the Marion County Tournament semi-finals. Pike has now won eight straight games including a big win at Fishers last weekend. This is always one of the must fun matchups of the year in southern Indiana. The “Buggy Bowl” features a sliding Barr-Reeve Vikings squad that has lost four out of five games and 11-3 Loogootee. These two teams just played in the third place game of the North Daviess tournament with Loogootee winning by one point. Staying in southern Indiana, we’ve got 13-1 Linton-Stockton, ranked #3 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class 2A poll, traveling to Class 1A #6 Bloomfield who is 11-1.
