We talked about Brock last month and this month he is at it again. He is flipping the script over at Syracuse making them a team that is not going to roll over. 17 points in last nights win over a tough Fremont squad as he hit 3 huge three-pointers as he helped his team edge out an OT win. Nice player with some size at the guard position.
5’10 PG Jovan Lee Jovan Lee 5'11" | PG Kearns | 2022 State UT || Kearns High School || 2022 ||
Speedy PG at it again as he keeps Kearns in the region lead with another easy win. He is just out there having fun playing both ends of the floor and making it look easy.
6’2 W Spencer Bessinger || Roy high School || 2022 ||
Spencer had himself a game against Granger. 31 points and he hit 4 three-pointers. The kid went off. Look for Roy to need him to do more of that in order to keep pace with the top teams in the region.
6’4 PG Darius Henderson Darius Henderson 6'5" | PG Hunter | 2022 State UT || Hunter High School || 2022 ||
Sleeper PG who can score and he can do it against some of the best. Had 38 points in a heavy hearted loss to another West Side school. Hunter lost two students two gun violence but Darius was playing inspired basketball. Look for more of this type of play from Darius as he looked more focused and poised to lead his time last night. Will be a nice get at the next level for a small school.
6’0 PG Ace Reiser Ace Reiser 6'0" | PG Alta | 2024 State UT || Bingham High School || 2024 ||
Ace has been wheeling and dealing as he is just carving teams up with his heady play. He is finding guys early on the break and he is breaking players off the dribble and killing them with his mid-range game. Impressive part of his game is that he is defending at a high level racking up a few more steals in region a game.
5’10 PG Nick Holland Nick Holland 5'11" | PG Skyridge | 2022 State UT || Skyridge High School || 2022 ||
This smaller PG is plowing through teams in Region 4 this year as he has Skyridge surprising everyone with the level of play. Nick is being defended with size and he gets by them and mixes them. He is defended up high with small fast guards and he gets by them and uses his multiple finish packages on them. Nick is the real deal.
5’11 PG Tyson Christensen || Summit Academy High School || 2022 ||
Talk about a kid playing with grit and desire. Tyson lead all scorers in a major upset as he plays for a small charter school that just took out a recruiting private school at their place. Tyson was big time as he 16 points and he hit three- huge three-pointers to pull of an upset against one of the best teams in 3A. Tyson deserves the recognition as he has had a stellar season.
