6 – Gus Hurlburt Gus Hurlburt 6'9" | PF Enderlin | 2022 State ND (Enderlin)
Coming in as the sixth ranked player for the Class of 2022 is Division one prospect Gus Hurlburt Gus Hurlburt 6'9" | PF Enderlin | 2022 State ND . The six foot nine inch senior out of Enderlin has been dominate this season scoring the ball in a variety of ways, rebounding at a constant rate, and playing hard on both ends of the court. Not to mention that although Gus is the height of a center, it isn’t uncommon to see him bang a three point shot or run the fast break for a rim rattling jam. With how talented Hurlburt has been on the court this season, I can’t wait to see where he will be taking his skill after high school comes to an end.
7 – Carson Hegerle Carson Hegerle 6'3" | SG West Fargo | 2022 State ND (West Fargo)
At number seven we have defending Class A State champion Carson Hegerle Carson Hegerle 6'3" | SG West Fargo | 2022 State ND . As a senior for the West Fargo Packers Hegerle has played like a true EDC veteran. What has impressed me the most is the patience and pace Carson plays with on the offensive end, his ability to take the ball away on defense, and the consistency that he shoots the ball with from beyond the arc. As the season moves on and we approach the postseason, I fully expect Hegerle to raise his game to an even higher level.
8 – Paul Olson Paul Olson 6'3" | SF Kindred | 2022 State ND (Kindred)
Sitting at the number eight spot in the Class of 2022 rankings is defending Class B state champion Paul Olson Paul Olson 6'3" | SF Kindred | 2022 State ND . At six foot four inches Paul has an explosive jumping ability that isn’t seen very often. Some things that impressed me about the Kindred player was his ability to finish in acrobatic style at the rim, shoot from the outside, and catch any lob that his teammates throw his way. If you live anywhere near Kindred, and enjoy seeing mean dunks and entertaining basketball, I highly recommend going to watch Paul Olson Paul Olson 6'3" | SF Kindred | 2022 State ND lace it up.
9 – Jayden Yankton Jayden Yankton 6'1" | SG Four Winds/Minnewaukan | 2022 State ND (Four Winds)
Cracking the top ten at rank number nine is sharp shooter Jayden Yankton Jayden Yankton 6'1" | SG Four Winds/Minnewaukan | 2022 State ND . The Four Winds guard has been putting up serious points this year, shooting a great percentage from the three point arc, and has led his squad to an undefeated record. With an all-around skilled game, and being in the zone the way that he is, Jayden Yankton Jayden Yankton 6'1" | SG Four Winds/Minnewaukan | 2022 State ND is en route to having a great senior year.
10 – Nick Carlson Nick Carlson 6'4" | SF West Fargo | 2022 State ND (West Fargo)
Rounding out the top ten for the Class of 2022 is Packer forward Nick Carlson Nick Carlson 6'4" | SF West Fargo | 2022 State ND . This senior has made an enormous leap from last season, and has proved himself as one of the best at his position in the EDC. Overall this season Nick has been scoring at a high rate of 56.1%, rebounding the ball well, and has shown off great athleticism with some impressive dunks. As the Packers continue their journey to repeating as Champions, I expect Nick to keep improving as the regular season plays out.
