Many teams in this region feature rosters that are full of seniors who have been playing together for a long time and their chemistry contributes to a lot of their success. Other teams have young rosters that are still doing their best to determine where exactly they will end up in terms of their role within the team. Either way, continue reading for a look at some of the recent top performances from central Idaho.
North Idaho Christian vs. Pullman Christian (WA): North Idaho Christian put together a great win over out-of-state rival Pullman Christian in a recent matchup. North Idaho Christian simply had more firepower and better chemistry which Pullman Christian failed to replicate fully. North Idaho Christian was led by 21 points from Kameron Heston thanks to his ability to knock down 5 three pointers during an efficient shooting night. Heston got help from Malachi Bullington Malachi Bullington 7'0" | C North Idaho Christian | 2022 State ID who rebounded the ball well, blocked and deterred shots on the defensive end, and posted 16 points. On the other side of the ball, Pullman Christian was led by 22 points from Shane Shaffer to lead all scorers, and Ethan Coldiron chipping in 11 points on a solid shooting night from the free throw line.
Prairie vs. Troy: Troy struggled to keep up with Prairie in a recent game from the central region of Idaho. Prairie got off to a hot start and never looked back as they cruised their way to victory. Prairie was led by Lane Schumacher and his 21-point performance to top all scorers for the game. Lane did an excellent job of taking care of the ball, limiting his turnovers, and keeping his teammates involved on the offensive end. In addition, Lee Forsmann scored 14 points around the rim and Zach Rambo reached double digits with 10 points and some rebounding help to keep Prairie on the attack throughout the night. Troy struggled offensively, but found a bright spot in Noah Johnson who led the team with 9 points.
