Player Evaluations
Reggie Bass Reggie Bass 6'4" | SG Arsenal Tech | 2022 State #175 Nation IN (Indianapolis Tech) – 2022 6’5” SG
Bass is the best uncommitted 2022 player in the state, and he showed why on Saturday night. Bass was getting to the rim and showing off his impressive finishing skills as well as knocking down shots from the outside. This definitely was not his most efficient game, but he helped out in other ways by attacking the glass for 10 rebounds, for his second double-double of the season, and coming up big on the defensive end with 3 steals.
Sincere Germany Sincere Germany 6'2" | SG Cathedral | 2023 State IN (Indianapolis Cathedral) 2023 6’3” SG
Sincere Germany Sincere Germany 6'2" | SG Cathedral | 2023 State IN is a southpaw shooting guard who played well in all areas of the game on Saturday. He shot the lights out from the outside, going 4-9 from three. He also was able to get to the rim and finish around defenders thanks to his length. On the defensive end of the floor, Germany played great man defense and used his length again to cause problems. I am really looking forward to seeing his development over the coming year.
Cameron Haffner Cameron Haffner 6'3" | SG Westfield | 2022 State IN (Westfield) – 2022 6’2” SG
Haffner is a solid shooting guard who can knock down shots with the best of them. He has a quick release, a pure shooter, and he never once hesitates to take his shots. He struggled in this game, going just 3-10 from the outside, but the potential is obviously there. He picked up his only Division 1 offer from Eastern Illinois a couple of weeks ago.
Brady Koosman (Cloverdale) – 2022 6’2” SG
Koosman is the traditional small-town Indiana guard who can shoot lights out from the outside. He started off the game with two threes and a mid-range jumper to set the tone and give Cloverdale a big lead early. He continued all game to find his spaces and knock down shots. He ended with 18 points on 4-6 from three, and if he can continue playing at this level, Cloverdale could pull off some upsets like they almost got on Thursday.
Ellis Lyons (North Putnam) – 2022 6’2” SG
Lyons is a great shooter for the Cougars as well, and his catch and shoot ability was put on full display in the win. He is full of confidence, and he plays with a ton of heart and hustle. He saved several possessions for the Cougars which allowed them to fight and claw their way back into the game. Lyons was 4-9 from the outside for 16 points.
Latrell Williams (Indianapolis Attucks) – 2022 6’2” SG
Williams is a good-sized shooting guard who was basically the only player that could get anything going for Attucks on Saturday night. He is good off of the catch-and-shoot, and he also had some strong drives to the hole. Williams ended with a 20-point performance on 8-17 shooting, and he is going to need to continue to play like this should Attucks want to get back on the winning side of things.
