Now that we have hit mid-January it is time to start highlighting the players that are still on the board. There are plenty of prospects for coaches at all levels still searching for a home here in the Hoosier state. Make sure you check out Part 1 of this series from a couple of weeks ago. Over the course of the coming weeks we will continue to highlight more and more prospects for your programs to keep an eye on. For now, here are five more uncommitted guards in the Indiana Class of 2022.
Britain Harris Britain Harris 6'3" | SG Bosco Institute | 2022 State IN (Bosco Institute 2022)
Harris is a super athletic wing that continues to garner more Division I interest with a strong season at Bosco Institute. He has good size and length at 6’3″, shows off explosiveness on his way to the rim, and can shoot the basketball. Picked up offers from St. Francis (PA) and Cleveland State over the summer. There should be more low-major programs offering this prospect.
Hunter Johnson Hunter Johnson 6'2" | SG South Decatur | 2022 State IN (South Decatur H.S. 2022)
It is time to start giving Johnson his due. The 6’2″ guard recently scored 53 points in a game and is averaging a state-best 33.5 points per game. Johnson is an excellent shooter that can create his own shot, especially in the mid-range, off the dribble. Has the size and strength to finish around the basket when he gets all the way to the rim. Gets to the foul line well also. Small colleges in the area need to start calling him if they haven’t already.
Jonah Lucas Jonah Lucas 6'0" | PG Lafayette Harrison | 2022 State IN (Lafayette Harrison H.S. 2022)
Very athletic left-handed guard that can fill it up in a hurry offensively. Lucas is averaging 18.1 points per game on impressive efficiency from all three levels. He is an excellent shooter off the dribble and can explode to the basket against closeouts. One of the best small college prospects left on the board in Indiana. Excellent on-ball defender as well. Coaches love guys who can score and lock up!
Branden Northern Branden Northern 5'11" | PG Silver Creek | 2022 State IN (Silver Creek H.S. 2022)
Northern is putting up huge stats this season at Silver Creek. A smaller point guard with elite athleticism, Northern is averaging 26.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game. He has 51/42/83 shooting splits which shows his efficiency along with super high volume. Big time outside shooter with all-around playmaking ability. Recently picked up a JUCO offer. Low-major Division I caliber player.
Dayveon Turner Dayveon Turner 5'11" | PG Arsenal Tech | 2022 State IN (Arsenal Tech H.S. 2022)
This whole list features explosive guards that can really score the basketball. Turner certainly fits that mold perfectly as well. On a team full of scorers, the 6’0″ guard is putting up 15.4 points and 5.7 assists per game. He is an excellent playmaker with the ball in his hands with the ability to create his own shot or get a shot for his teammates. Very good outside shooter. Tough to stop in transition. Scholarship level prospect.
