1. Andrew Crawford Andrew Crawford 6'6" | CG ThunderRidge | 2024 State #88 Nation CO , 6’5 PG- ThunderRidge
Andrew Crawford Andrew Crawford 6'6" | CG ThunderRidge | 2024 State #88 Nation CO has set himself apart in this class as the easy choice for number 1 player in the class of 2024. Standing at 6’5 Andrew plays point guard, this makes him a very hard match-up to prepare for. Over this past year, Andrew’s passing has been up to par, confusing defenders with no-look passes overtop their heads. Also from three-point land, he has a good set shot allowing him to be an off-ball floor spacer. At the rim, he has shown great promise using a variety of euro-steps to move by defenders and finish with a soft touch. Andrew’s combination of skill, size, and athleticism make him one of the more intriguing D1 prospects in Colorado currently.
2. Maurice Austin Maurice Austin 5'10" | PG Pueblo South | 2024 State CO , 5’9 PG- Pueblo South
Maurice Austin Maurice Austin 5'10" | PG Pueblo South | 2024 State CO has been statistically the best sophomore in the state this year, he is averaging 24.4 points, 7.6 assists, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.1 steals per game, leading Pueblo South to a 14-0 record. Maurice is a super-skilled player but more importantly, is one of the most competitive players in the state. On both ends of the floor, he plays with a chip on his shoulder. Defensively Maurice has quick hands and footwork allowing him to be one of the best on-ball defenders in the state. On the offensive end, Maurice is the ideal floor general as he is an equal threat to score or assist an open teammate. When Maurice is not assisting teammates he can truly score from all three levels.
3. James Pulliam James Pulliam 6'7" | PF Doherty | 2024 State CO , 6’8 C- Doherty
James Pulliam James Pulliam 6'7" | PF Doherty | 2024 State CO is ranked third in the class due to his super high ceiling. James is 6’8 but is a very fluent athlete who has shown the potential of being a very good big man. Down low, James is good at finding spots for driving players to drop it off to him, where he is a solid finisher at the rim. He also shows some potential of spreading the floor with good form on his mid-range jumper. On the defensive end, he has shown good timing for blocking shots, this combined with good footwork and athleticism making him an intriguing rim protector prospect at the next level.
4. Cass Henry Cass Henry 6'7" | PF Arapahoe | 2024 State CO , 6’5 PF- Arapahoe
Cass Henry Cass Henry 6'7" | PF Arapahoe | 2024 State CO is a super skilled combo-forward who does a bit of everything on the floor. Cass is a player who can stuff the stat sheet as he can score, pass, and rebound very well. At 6’5 and a broad frame Cass is a hard match-up low-high post, he has a nice back-to-the-basket game and can face up just as well. Facing up Cass has shown he has a quick first step compared to other forwards, and he is a creative finisher near the rim. Cass is a player that guys love to play with as he is unselfish and often can draw in the defense then move the ball to open teammates.
5. Asher Weiner Asher Weiner 6'5" | SF Valor Christian | 2024 CO – 6’4 SF- Valor Christian
Asher Weiner Asher Weiner 6'5" | SF Valor Christian | 2024 CO is a player who we saw last summer dominate playing up a grade level against very good competition. Asher is a player who is not going to make many flashy plays but just plays the game right. From beyond the three-point arc, he has a very good set shot that he can make contested. With the ball in his hands, Asher is a patient player who uses jabs and rip-throughs well to create space and drive to the basket. At the basket, he uses his athleticism, lengthy arms, and good build to finish through and around defenders. What is even more impressive is that basketball is Asher’s second sport as he is a D1 quarterback prospect.
