Tyler Wentworth 6’5 W/F of Central Catholic, Modesto, CA.
The 2 sport athlete (Football) put together a solid performance while we were there. He was aggressive and taking it strong in the post early in the game. His jump hook went in, he executed the pick and roll, and had passing on the perimeter. He’s goes hard for rebounds and does well defending in the post, and on the perimeter. He can be a double-double guy.
Marcus Robinson Marcus Robinson 6'3" | CG Miramonte | 2024 State CA-N 6’2 G of Miramonte
Robinson is an up and coming prospect we’ll have to see more of. He plays a good all around game and has some effect on both ends of the court. He works hard to defend on ball, get a few rebounds from the guard position. He can operate on the perimeter coming off screens or for the catch and shoot to knock down 3pt shots. Starting or coming off the bench he’ll be a contributor.
Miles MacPherson 6’3 CG of Napa
MacPherson is a do it all guard on this team. He handles ball pressure bringing it up court. He rebounds, and pushes in transition regularly. He’s a hard playing guard who can score off the dribble, knock down 3’s, and work in the post on occasion. He put up 20pts while we were there.
Nic Cubley 6’3 G/F of San Marin
Cubley spends the bulk of his time working around the post, but has big guard potential. The long armed lefty is an active player with good bounce. He works hard going for rebounds and blocks, with good awareness on defense. He’ll sprint the lanes in transition with good finishes at the rim with an occasional dunk if there’s a clear path. He can handle it at times using strong drives working along the baseline.
Jake Vasquez 6’3 PG of Redwood
A big guard who brings a versatile set of skills to the team. He handles well, has good vision, and looks to push, or make long passes up the court in transition. He’ll work for rebounds and will push it most of the time. He does well playing off the ball, and along the perimeter looking to get up 3’s. He sets his feet, and gets his shot up quickly without rushing it.
Langston Burkett 6’5 F of Santa Cruz
Burkett a big body with decent movement on the court. He’s a 2 sport athlete (Baseball) with a nice fastball. Basketball is probably his second sport, nonetheless he’ll help this team in the post defending and rebounding. He’s a good passer from the high post, he has an elbow jumper, will use one dribble to get to the rim, and is hard to stop going up off two in the paint.
Ben Dotten 6’5 W/F of Santa Cruz
Dotten has a good upside. He’s a versatile player with wingspan to help defend in the post, and take away passing space on the perimeter. He looks for his shot at the high post and in the corners. He’s on the thin side, and needs to bulk up a bit, but he’ll go after rebounds, and he runs the court well. He’s on the Wright’s Watch List.
