The move: 15 to 9
The 6-8 big man makes the move into the top 10 in the 2023 class because of his ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. He’s a really fluid athlete who runs the floor, has some of the best footwork we’ve seen from an in-state big man during our time as a company, and has great touch around the rim. There is reason to believe that he could potentially add some more range to his game, and he has good instincts on the defensive end, showing good timing on his block attempts and knowing that a majority of the time, he can just stay straight up and contest shots. He is also the type of big man that an offense can run through because he sees the floor really well, is quick to recognize the double, and is a willing passer. His ability on both ends of the floor and his fluidity and productivity are the reasons for the jump into the top 10. He’s averaging 20.8 points, 10.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 4.0 blocks a game for the Beavers.

The move: 18 to 12
A 6-1 lefty lead guard, Kelderman has been absolutely fantastic for the Wolves in his first year as a starter, averaging 18.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.8 assists, while shooting 40% from behind the arc. He’s not big, but he’s physical and does a great job absorbing contact around the rim and finishing through it. He’s a high IQ guard who has posted a 2.5-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio and is equally adept at creating his own shot or a quality look for a teammate. He moves his feet well and positions himself well on the defensive end of the floor as well.

The move: 33 to 23
Jallah has always been an intriguing prospect because of his combination of length, athleticism, and defensive potential. He’s shooting up the rankings again because of the development his offensive game has made. He’s averaging 18.3 points a game on 63.5% shooting, using his length, athleticism, and a quick first step to routinely attack the rim and finish. He has greatly improved as a playmaker, getting others involved and finishing around the rim at a high clip. His jumper is still very much a work in progress, but the 6-1 wing has a lot of talent and potential on both ends of the floor.

The move: 54 to 26
Fisher is one of the best pure athletes in the 2023 class, and he uses that explosive athleticism to his advantage. He has a quick first step and is a good ball-handler, using those attributes to get to the rim routinely. The 6-0 lefty has also developed a pretty reliable mid-range jumper, stopping on a dime and elevating into his shot. He’ll need to add some more range to his game as he continues to develop, but the added mid-range game is a boost to his explosive penetrating ability.

The move: 44 to 28
Lueth, a 6-7 wing, makes another big leap up the rankings in large part because he’s starting to add some offensive game to his arsenal. He’s always been an intriguing player because of his length, athleticism, and defensive acumen, but he’s shooting at a 52% clip from behind the arc so far this season, showing a smooth, clean release and extended range off the catch.

The move: 47 to 29
A powerful 6-4 power forward, Wiggley is one of the better passing big men that we’ve seen in a while. He sees the floor at a really high level and is a creative passer. He’s improved his scoring ability as well, with good footwork and touch around the rim with either hand, shooting 56.2% from the floor and averaging 13.4 points a game.

The move: 77 to 31
Dolphin has quickly become a personal favorite of mine because of his two-way ability. He’s a tough, physical guard who isn’t going to back down from anyone, and despite giving up some size, he’ll happily bang in the paint with bigger players on the defensive end. He’s shot the ball at an incredibly high level this season (48.1 3P%) and is posting an assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.2-1. A high IQ guard who plays with physicality, likes to defend, limits mistakes, and can knock down shots. What’s not to like?

The move: 78 to 32
The 6-3 guard has turned into one of the best scorers in the 2023 class, averaging 19.9 points a game for the Rams. He has good size and length, is a capable playmaker, and a very good three-level scorer. His efficiency numbers haven’t been the greatest, but he’s been asked to do a lot for a very young Southeast Polk team.

| SF | Charles City
The move: 89 to 44
An athletic, 6-4 wing who can impact the game on both ends of the floor with his length and athleticism, Low is having a big junior year, averaging 19.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.6 steals a game while shooting nearly 62% from the floor. He does a majority of his damage by getting to the rim, but he’s shown the ability to step out and knock down an occasional jumper, enough that it needs to be respected. He’s a long, switchable defender who contributes on both ends at a high level.

The move: 74 to 48
The son of former Kirkwood coach Doug Wagemester is a high IQ lead guard who is tough, long, and physical. He’s about 6-2 and has the ability to defend either perimeter spot because he moves his feet well and does a nice job using his length. He’s had a really good start to the year shooting it from 3 (48.6%), and he handles the ball well and is a good decision-maker with the ball in his hands. He’s a strong all-around player who makes winning plays and limits mistakes on both ends of the floor.
