Jamil Miller Jamil Miller 6'6" | SG Gonzaga Prep | 2023 State WA | Gonzaga Prep High School 23’
When you walk in the gym and see Jamil, the first thing that comes to your mind is his college-ready frame, he is 6’5 200 lbs. Jamil is the most explosive athlete we have in Spokane. He is quick as a fox and will surprise you with an explosive dunk or tough layup if you let him anywhere near the rim. Jamil is just starting to get comfortable in this new system with Gonzaga Prep. He is been improving day after day. Jamil is a freight train in the fast break and is crafty as they come with the ball in his hands. His defense is just as good or better than anyone in the state. Jamil is a diamond in the rough and is continuing to raise his stock.
Maverick Sanders | Mt. Spokane High School 23’
Mt. Spokane got a good one when Maverick transferred to Mt. Spokane this year. Maverick is one of those kids that you can trust to make good decisions and give you 100% effort on every play! His footwork in the paint is what catches my eye, as he is always using ball fakes, spins, step-throughs, etc to keep his defender off balance and committing fouls, resulting in Maverick shooting a lot of free throws. He attacks the boards with reckless abandonment and is always trying to get extra possessions for the Wildcats.
Jackson Floyd Jackson Floyd 6'0" | PG Gonzaga Prep | 2023 State WA | Gonzaga Prep High School 23’
The motor on this kid is such a treat to watch. Jackson moves the ball very well and enables the offense to run with fluid motion and quickness. Jackson is a playmaker, period. He can score just as good as anyone else but he loves to make plays for his teammates and he does it with ease. Jackson can also sit down and guard any guard in the state. He has a strong frame and he is a SNEAKY athlete. Defenses sometimes forget about Jackson when he doesn’t have the ball in his hands and that leads to him getting easy buckets at the rim. Great attitude kid that just keeps getting better.
Kruz Wheeler | Ferris High School 23′
This dude right here is such a blast to watch. He is a guy you can coach and he will listen no matter the environment. He thrives in critical moments and shows his heart with relentless effort on every possession. Kruz is a big-time glue guy, when the team needs to be reeled in and calmed down he will be the guy to rally the troops and lead from the front. Good isn’t master at anything on the court but is good at everything. He can shoot, handle, get in the lane and create havoc, create and finishes through contact, and can guard with the best of them. Every coach wants a Kruz Wheeler on their roster!
Jake Vallance | Cheney High School 23′
Cheney has been leaning on 2 players all season long and Jake is one of them. Jake is a shooter, period. He will shoot you out of a game with a quickness if you let him see a couple go in. Jake can also get to the basket, so he is a challenging player to deal with on defense. He isn’t scared of contact and thrives in moments of chaos. Excellent free-throw shooter as well. He has a college-ready frame standing at 6’4 and 195 lbs.
