Olympus Prep forward Kareem Ewell Kareem Ewell 6'6" | SF Olympus Prep | 2022 State NJ committed to Delaware State on Monday, but he may not be the only prospect to commit this week. Here are the 2022 prospects who could commit next.
Ryan Pettit Ryan Pettit 6'2" | SG Rutgers Prep | 2022 State NJ , 6’2 SG Rutgers Prep
Pettit has been playing at a high level all season and is a big reason why the Argonauts are still undefeated this season. The 6’2 lefty has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down shots from behind the arc when given space. Pettit makes good decisions with the ball in his hands and rarely turns the ball over. He is willing to dive on the floor for loose balls on both ends and takes charges on defense. Pettit just picked up offers from Navy and Army, so he may not be on the board for much longer.
David Luberoff David Luberoff 6'9" | PF Blair Academy | 2023 State NJ , 6’8 PF Midland Park
Luberoff has been one of the top power forwards in North Jersey this season as he’s filling up the box score every night. The 6’8 forward has a good touch around the basket and can finish through contact. Luberoff can also play on the perimeter as he can put the ball on the floor and knock down jumpers from behind the arc. He skies for rebounds on both ends of the floor and swats shots around the basket. Luberoff recently picked up an offer from Penn and could make a decision sooner rather than later.
Ethan Simmon Ethan Simmon 6'4" | SG St. Joe's Metuchen | 2022 State NJ , 6’4 SG St. Joe’s Metuchen
Simmon has been the go-to player for the Falcons all year long and should continue to do so throughout 2022. The 6’4 guard has a smooth release on his shot and knows how to get himself on the perimeter. Simmon is more than just a shooter as he can finish around the basket and has an underrated handle. He is a good perimeter defender as he slides his feet and gets deflections on defense. Simmon is a 3-and-D wing prospect who has the potential to make an impact in his freshman season.
Dionte Johnson Dionte Johnson 6'0" | PG Patrick School | 2022 State NJ , 6’0 PG Patrick School
Johnson’s stock has been on the rise since the start of the season and should continue to rise. The 6’0 guard has a tight handle, which he uses to break his defender down off the bounce and finish around the basket. Johnson knows how to get his teammates involved in the half court and has a nice shooting stroke. He is a tenacious on-ball defender, making it hard for opponents to get into their offense. Johnson picked up an offer from Binghamton recently and should receive more interest if he maintains his level of play.
Omarion Jett-Dobbs Omarion Jett-Dobbs 6'2" | CG St. Benedict's | 2022 State NJ , 6’2 CG St. Benedict’s
Jett-Dobbs recently picked up an offer from Millersville and could receive more if he continues to play at a high level. The 6’2 guard is at his best attacking the basket as he is a good finisher and does not mind drawing contact. Jett-Dobbs has an underrated handle and can run the offense in a pinch. He moves well off the ball and is a tough on-ball defender. Jett-Dobbs is a gritty, two-way guard prospect who does what it takes to help his team win.
